This game was quite fun. My friends and I enjoyed the puzzles and the art work. The artwork really stood out in this game. We felt the puzzles were fair and was happy that the skip button was an option for some that were a bit more time consuming.
The story was fun, though we realized we came into the overall story line a few games late.
We kept forgetting that 'dad' was a thing. It did feel a little frustrating hitting points where we had ti wait until he spoke with us and gave us another piece of something. At a few points, it was distracting though didn't lower our enjoyment of the game.
I've been asked by my friends to look into the rest of the series and I will do just that.

It's okay. The story is good for what it is, but this game is just for someone that is not wanting something fast paced and long. It does get confusing at certain points because you can't just used any object you want to get whatever it is you're after.

I have played prior Grim Tale series and enjoyed them, but this one wasn't even worth the sale price. The very first HOG had not one but two items that refused to react no matter how many times I clicked on them, then when I gave up and used hint went straight to those items, which now worked. So within minutes of starting I was frustrated. Some of the puzzle descriptions are vague and I just gave up not knowing if I was even trying to do the right thing. And my final gripe? I play these games because I have no hand eye coordination and never have had. Then a key game/puzzle was a follow the pattern with your mouse type that I failed repeatedly. While not the devs fault, the addition of that type of puzzle will ruin the game for us point and clickers, so maybe use it in a less critical point of the game? I was just so fed up by that point I quit. This isn't the first game I loved early chapters of before they apparently just started pumping them out with little thought or beta testing. Too bad, the earlier ones were really enjoyable.

(っ^▿^)۶🍸Recommend the game to those who love the same genre 🍺٩(˘◡˘ )
I enjoyed the game and appreciate the improvements in art style!
BUT I am greatly disappointed by the game audio and mouse pointer interaction. I am playing this game in my new gaming PC so I am pretty sure that the problem is not my PC but the game itself. I tried every possible solution like changing my settings and running in compatibility mode but nothing works. All games I played in steam that is not a Big Fish game is running smoothly. I am experiencing this problem the moment there was a voice over in the game installation. The first three Grim Tales story that I played where all working perfectly fine but starting from The Vengeance and other recent games in Big Fish I started having problems.
I hope Big Fish can resolve the problem because the technical error becomes a pain and stopping me from truly enjoying the game.
Update: I played the game in a PC that was not updated to Windows 11 and the game works perfectly without any problem. I guess the reason the problem happened in my latest PC was because of the Windows 11 apdate!

Kind of corny and over the top, with a plot that's hard to follow, but the hidden object scenes were fun and the puzzles were unique and enjoyable!

It's on the easy side; neither the gameplay, nor the minigames are too challenging, recommended rather for casual players who want a relaxed experience. The story is okay, and the visuals and atmosphere are fantastic. I especially loved the white and red colour palette; it was refreshing after the usual blue and purple tones of the BigFish games.

I love the atmosphere. Every scene is beautiful and the puzzles are good.
It's one of my favorite parts of Grim Tales :3

Anna Gray is still seeking out more members of her family. Now, she has been hired to find a Stacey Gray. Unfortunately, there are other things happening as you investigate…
HO scenes are fun, minigames challenging, and the plot engaging. Recommend in the bundle, just for ease of purchase.

Looked like a decent enough HOP game. Usual silly plot cliches and not-especially-riveting dialog and puzzles. But I knew what I'd be getting on that front.
I had to refund it, though, because the performance was utterly dire. Slow screen transitions, slow item clicks, slow animations; even a sluggish mouse pointer, which even failed to keep pace with the hardware cursor. (Which left the drawn one behind. I didn't even know that was possible!)
My PC is perfectly capable of running the latest games in very high res, even concurrently with other intensive processing going on. So something definitely went wrong here.

I do recommend it but I also struggle with it. Some puzzles were just really hard for me. I'm not always sure what to do. I play a lot of HOG and PAC games.. Thankful for skip with this one :)
I recommend bc so far I've enjoyed it but I'm only at 2.8 hours so this is an early recommendation. This review could change at any time.
