Used to play this game about 12 years ago back in highschool when it was called costume party, never thought i'd get the chance to play it again. Really good platformer and with a community that can create their own content means that the game never gets old, You'll always find something new and fresh to play.

You can make your own levels, be Santa, and spook various things as a Ghost. Way back when, you'd be lucky if a game let you do just one of those things, but Kid Hallow has them all. The music is also pretty "bopping". And with unlimited growth potential, Kid Hallow is practically a steal. Like really, it's super cheap! Each piece of bite-sized action will leaving you looking for more, and there's all kinds of stuff on offer thanks to the costume system. It's pretty great, all in all. The editor can be a tad annoying, as you need to complete achievements to unlock the full functionality, but you can unlock most of the important parts with the more incidental ones.

Even better than it was when it first came out in 2008 but this includes all the DLC packs for a LOT cheaper! Lots of hours of game-play with more levels being created all the time! Hamumu always puts out great games and I'm still playing them 20 years later!

Lovely game. I first played Costume Quest (which this is an updated version of) when I had just turned 30 years old. I remember liking it, but I didn't recall much about it. Now I'm an old man in my early 40s. :B1: It's like I'm playing it again for the first time... and this game is a lot of fun so far. Playing through all of the training levels, I went ahead and tried to make a level. I was pretty happy with the results, even though it was a little bit of an amateur attempt. But now I have the bug. I plan on sitting here with my kids and trying to create fun levels for others to try. (Three people have already played my level.) Kind of a Super Mario Maker before Super Mario Maker existed. I love that aspect. It looks like there are things to unlock in the editor, too, with descriptions on how to unlock them. That's cool. I had recently played a little bit of Chip's Challenge, which this reminded me of. A 2D platforming version of Chip's Challenge. The 'costumes' are really different characters with interesting abilities and limitations. Definitely check it out. And please make some levels for us all to play. I promise to play and rate your levels - just let me know in my review comments and I will! :)

This seemingly bite size precision platformer is actually much more than meets the eye! Adventure, exploration, different characters w/unique abilities, and a fantastic level editor w/online sharing! ONE MINUTE REVIEW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hryx3aH3rp4

A very fun costume-based arcade platormer mainly focused on the level editor and community made levels (though there's also a fully fleshed out local single player campaign). It might appear simple at first, but there's a surprising layer of depth with all the various costumes (each one having its own unique power) and different mechanics - many of them being used in a very clever way in community levels. If you loved Dr Lunatic's custom/community worlds, you definitely gonna love this one as well!

The platforming is tight and the levels are bite-sized and delicious. Have been really enjoying sitting down with this a little bit every evening and making a bit of progress in my high-scores or tile unlocks. The additions to the steam version from the original game are all really neat and I'm looking forward to making more levels again!!

Kid Hallow is a game I played a ton of back when it first released in 2008. It is a puzzle/action 2d platformer that is fueled by user generated levels. The main gimmick is that there are lots of playable characters, and a level can make you change between them. A level focused on the floaty ghost feels a lot different than the wall jumping ninja, and that's different than the explosive grenade jumping santa claus. This leads to a lot of level variety. I've always enjoyed games that allow user content, because as new ideas are discovered, people push the game way farther than any developer can think to. Each level has its own high score and time attack leaderboard, so its fun to pick a level you like and try to maintain the #1 spot. All in all, if you like stuff like mario maker, this game will be up your alley!
