Nice yet short puzzle game. i would have liked to be a little more explanation of new mechanisms instead of figuring them out via trial and error. The puzzles are of medium difficulty with a really nice hint system

Beautiful game with mindbending puzzles. Never frustrating. That "Aha" moment when you figure a level out is a big payoff!

So took me like 2 hours to finish all 66 levels, i would say 3 hours without hints. Neat little puzzle game, yet i think 12,49€ for roughly 3 hours are a bit much. I do not know the effort the team put into this game; the artwork is great, the music though kinda feels generic to me as a non agyptian music professional. Theres is almost no replay value except for the last archivement "finishing 100 levels". So i just replayed the first 34 levels. 100% completed game in under 3 hours. Overall i think this is more like supporting a growing developer and im looking forward to more games that are bug free and polished when realeased.

I originally played the demo and thoroughly enjoyed the uniqueness of the puzzle style. Picked up the full game during the sale and really enjoying the various game-play mechanics and puzzles! The art-style is great and the cut-scenes are really well done too. If you are a enjoyer of puzzle games, I really recommend this cool Indie game and to be honest, one of the few Indie puzzle games that feels polished and no bugs.

Great little puzzle game where we have to rearrange the tiles of each level board so Pharaoh can safely reach the exit. New mechanics are introduced as we progress which increases the puzzles complexity. As we play, we also get to watch beautiful cinematics showing us Pharaoh life story events that led to his death. A short game but very nicely made.

This is a case for me of supporting a small Studio for releasing a Jewel ! Thanks to a long Demo i kind of knew what i can excpect. This Egyptian Puzzle is Charming and Challenging ... Sound and Graphics are beautiful and easy on the eye/ear. The Intro Price i find fair and i think any Puzzle Loving Player would enjoy this ! Go for it while walking like a Egyptian :) The amount of time you want to spend with this game is much depending of how often...if you want to use the hints As a Bonus for Older Gamer it has an Geek achievment that you never will forget when u have been there :)

Solve the mystery of who killed the pharaoh in this beautifully illustrated moving tile puzzle game Path of Ra is developed by Oneiric Tales, based in Paris. The game is inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology and based on historical characters and facts. It is a work of fiction and was made in collaboration with Simon Thuault, Doctor of Egyptology. Beautifully illustrated moving tile puzzle game with clever level designs that include switches, portals, flames and burning leaves. There is an animated story (without words) that unfolds throughout the game. It is very well made and has all the quality of life inclusions you would expect in such a game: * 11 languages * 3 music volume options * Colour blindness option * Rumble for controllers * Full screen and window mode * Reset button * Level select (once the level has been completed) * If you die, after the death animation you are brought back to the sequence of blocks in which you died so you can adjust accordingly * Hint system which tells you which blocks are in the correct position and which are not Although the game has 66 levels, there is only 60/61 puzzles as the other levels are taken up with story animations and initial prologue in writing. It is noted, however, that there is an achievement for completing 100 puzzles, so some levels will require replaying for achievement hunters. Pros: * Beautiful and well made puzzle game * Many quality of life features * Beautiful music * Hint button * Achievements Cons: * No mid level saving (not an issue for most of the game and if using the hint system, it is not a problem) * No trading cards 8/10

[th] This review was submitted for Elite Giveaways, where every game deserves a review. The Path of Ra is set in ancient Egypt and you play the role of a Pharaoh who is trying to find fragments of his heart. Throughout the game are cut scenes detailing the circumstances surrounding his death. This is the first game of a small studio and they did a sterling job in producing a very polished atmospheric game with no bugs! This game has the same mechanics as The Pedestrian where you swap tiles to allow the Pharaoh to go from A to B. There are over 60 levels and many obstacles are slowly introduced. There are portals, pressure plates, collapsing floors, many levers to push and pull, dodging fire and arrows and avoiding enemies. The puzzles ranged from dead easy to mind bending. Graphics are all hand painted, including the cut scenes. They were really lovely and highlighted the Egyptian belief of the dangerous journey a soul takes in the underworld before facing final judgement. The animation of the hieroglyphics was a nice touch. Accompanied with subtle music, there was a slightly dark tone to the journey. The only downside is how short the game is. There is a hint system which shows what tiles are in the right place. If you use the hints, it will be just over 2 hours long. If you achieve the ending without any hints, it would be 3-4 hours depending on your Mensa score! The price is quite high for such a short game. Over $21 Aussie dollars and should be around the $14 mark. Buy when on discount. It has been 50% off in the previous big sale. A call out for people with mobility/hand issues, this game only requires using a mouse. There is no speed required in this game at all nor is precision. There are issues for colourblind people, but in the options, they ask what sort of colourblindness you have. It was really lovely to see that this studio is trying to be very inclusive. Highly recommend for puzzles lovers and those who want to use their brain muscles. I will certainly be watching for the next game from these devs. 8/10
