I thought, with a 50% discount, it really can't be that bad right? The answer is yes, yes it absolutely can be that bad. - Whenever you pick something up (which is often, picking up garbage, putting down furniture...) the image shakes like crazy. Making it very hard to place the object where you want it. - The game looks bad. The image being subdued, the lighting awful (you can see the different areas on the walls). - The dirt and furniture inside the garages are pretty much all the same. So you run into the same yellow stains, the same 4 different furniture options and that's it. Each old garage looks pretty much the same. - Is it just me or is there no white paint? Why the hell would you not have white paint? - You can click to skip the tutorial but the assistant thingy will keep on whining and there are moments where you have to do what it says to be able to continue. Want to pick up garbage? Too bad, I want you to sand this wall. - It's not very clear to me how the system works. Like, when does a garage get a good score? What makes it 3 stars? Is the benefit better if I put things in as cheap as possible or should I go all out but not have any money leftover? To be fair, this might be something that becomes more clear later on. - Since you can't really immerse yourself in the game (since it looks and feels so awful) it also means you don't get that typical feeling of accomplishment. Usually when playing these kind of games whenever you finished a renovation you feel kinda happy and proud with the way it changed and how much better it looks. But in this game you just wipe away 3 spots, sell the furniture, put some basic new ones in, paint the walls some terrible looking color worse than whatever is on the walls to begin with and call it a day. Even just changing the game to be more bright and have better textures would be a huge improvement. Not to mention making the old garages actually dirty and bad looking. The first garage you renovate apparently has been flooded. If so, where is the flood damage? Maybe some mold here and there? A line on the wall to indicate water damage? I'll be refunding, this is worse than I expected.
