I would like to start off with saying this game isn't too expensive so you definitely get what you expect for $2 Gameplay: Boring, Repetitive, no real game feel to be enjoyed whilst playing, basically boiled down to hold down space and move with up, down, left, right (that's all). Story: none, none what so ever, and if there is then it is not explained/shown in the least bit. Artsytle: This is pretty subjective but honestly it is not all that, it's pretty inconsistent and mediocre. Code: I was able to view a lot of the games code with my gamemaker editor tool (basically just lets me look into the .win files of gamemaker games) The coding in this game is abhorrent and I don't think I've ever seen a GMS2 game code worse in my entire life, multiple player object for specific levels that all functionally do the same thing, all the textures are in one single texture page (I pray for that texture page and I praise gamemaker for doing all the leg work with that one lol) as well as instead of fully unique boss fights they all seem to be laid out in multiple animations with per frame hitboxs for collision in the boss fights, this leaves little to no variety with boss fights and makes them feel very boring and soulless. Should you buy it?: No, honestly even though this game is only $2 I would not purchase this "game"

The Adventures of Emoji 4 : Fly High Mouse is a triumph. Truly an example of how small independent creators can still thrive in the increasingly competitive game developer climate. Not only does it excel as revolutionising its genre, but dare I say makes a whole new genre entirely. From it's speed-running potential and beautifully composed soundtrack, to the gripping story that makes braves statements about our society today. Truly one of the greatest games in recent memory, dare I say, ever. The progression both plot and game mechanics wise is revolutionary. The beautifully skilled team at Moji4Studio has started off their reputation in one of the greatest ways possible. I don't think I've ever been blown away by a small indie developers first game ever. I would not at all be surprised if Moji4Studio grew to be as big as any other 1st party developer, maybe becoming the first ever 0th party. That is how incredibly genius this game is. The art style is both simplistic and complex, the bosses are fleshed out, fun yet challenging, and make this beautiful world feel truly alive. If you have not played this game, you are missing out on TRUE ART.
