Feels like you just cant progress because some block will move and now you need to get all the way down before you can progress. garbage. Try to open all the pictures! This is not as easy as it looks.

I tried to give this a chance, I really did. But the controls are too clunky, and lack most core tetris functionality. Add to that, the concept of what they were trying to do falls apart after the second picture, and there's no explanation of how any of it works. And if all of that wasn't bad enough, the music is terrible; dance remixes of Gregorian chants!
First, the controls. 4 keyboard controls had to be remapped to my controller; up, down, left, right. That's it. There's no hold piece, and there's no hard drop. Up spins the piece one direction, so no T spin either. Down drops the piece only SLIGHTLY faster, but the game moves so slow, it might as well do nothing at all.
And then there's the gameplay. Make a line, get a line in the picture and advance up. Simple, right? But after that picture, the lines explode and don't stay. Those are through the red zone. You're supposed to leave gaps in the red zone and only connect the green zones. Ok, got it. Except, not so fast! Because after the second picture, even the green line explode, and then the game is broken.

I just idled an animated fish tank for 2 hours for all achievements. No clue how to activate the tetris game known only from the screenshots or why there must be a default aquarium mode without any more instructions inside the game.

Well was looking for a tetris game that did not have a ridiculous price and while searching for a few minutes i found Anime Tetris for under £1, i immediately grabbed it to sooth my tetris thirst and once i knew what i was doing (cause it's not a standard tetris game ) i started enjoying it a lot, so much that i purchased the dlc as well!!!
Recommended to quench your Tetris thirst!

Absolute worst experience I've ever had playing Tetris. I bought it as a joke and when playing it, it surprisingly disappointed me. I'm shocked how bad this actually is. First of all, the music is trash, it's not relaxing whatsoever. Then you're unable to hold pieces and unable to immediately place which are the two most useful mechanics of Tetris. Then the chance of getting certain pieces aren't equal, some are rarer than others. I could name more dogshit mechanics of this game but quite frankly I don't care enough about this game to waste anymore of my time.

This is as if someone who had never played Tetris had a go at making the game. Cheap as it is, I was deluded enough to think it might fill an old longing for one of the greatest puzzle games of all time.
Just walk away.

Super basic Tetris game.
I played it twice through because I wanted to beat my score. To start over you have to delete your progress which, curiously, also deletes all your of achievements, so when you play back through you get them all back. My score ended up worse, despite doing better, dunno what that's about.
55p for an hour and a half of some version of fun? Can't really complain. Recommend? I would never, but for the sake of the Steam review, it's a thumbs up.
DLC edit: More of the same. I'm not into those boom anime babes, but two of the pictures were just pictures of stars.

TL;DR This 'homage' to a classic puzzle game barely manages to dodge the "Not Recommended" label by the skin of its teeth because it nailed the "experimental" part well enough.
The twist is that in this Tetris you don't have a ceiling and instead you build up a tower to power up the neon signs with your / someone else's cute anime waifus. Tricky part comes from the rows that don't have to be filled up as some of them marked as "bomb" lines and would explode, taking away the portion of your meticulously set up "power grid" with them.
Here's an issue that drives my up the wall: a blank row that's not marked as "bomb" line is, for some reason, also treated as a bomb line by the game's logic, whereas it simply should be a "dielectric" - i.e. it can be either filled up and not lit up like a "power" line or with empty gaps in it)
Here's what any tetris clone must have to even begin being enjoyable:
- Gradual drop + instant drop keys;
- Separate keys for rotating clockwise and counter-clockwise;
- Rapid shift of the piece left or right after holding the "Left"/"Right" keys for 200-300ms;
- Tetris pieces, when touch the ground / wall / "foundation", must have a brief delay to maneuver around, before finally getting stuck;
- T-spin.
Optional:
- For early levels, tetris pieces are briefly suspended in the "ceiling" for the player to figure out where to
- The hold / swap functionality for tetris pieces.
That's it. Do the basics and you'll sell your game like hotcakes for lots of money.

P.S. Bonus selling points:
+ Additional "alternate universe" mode that includes some unorthodox, crazy-shaped tetris pieces (one-dot, L-shaped thee-dots, cross five-dot etc);
+ Puzzle mode;
+ VS (CPU/2P-4P) mode;
+ Any unique, new and experimental game mode (always on top of the basic one, without replacing it) that you might think of.
[ex. a Tower Survival mode, in which the idea is to build a tower and survive the constantly rising flood; You have to stack the tower with ideally only one missing dot in each line; fill up entire line and it classicallt deletes itself, build too thin of a wall (like trying to stack pieces one on another to rush to the ceiling) and the wall "crumbles" under its own weight by, say, three-four lines - enought to discourage player from rushing]
