I don't know anything about sheet music, but I'm evolving by trying to use logic, as I would like to know how to play a musical instrument.

I've been trying to play this game and for the most part its very "easy", which is nice. But the issue lies in the gameplay, as sometimes when I try to insert a note into its proper place on the scale, it ends up appearing in the wrong part, which is extremely annoying. I don't know if the dev listens to feedback but this should be fixed, and maybe i will think about changing whether I recommend the game or not, depending on if I forget.

This is either a repetitive sort-the-notes game if you understand music or a repetitive trial & error game if you don't. There is some info about the structure of certain scales, but that's not very helpful if you are new to music theory.
100%ing the game boils down to beating every level, which can be done with 0 musical understanding.

I played through all the major and minor scales, and then part of the harmonic minor. It's fine.
Probably good for students trying to learn the patterns in musical scales, but it's not great for professional musicians.
One thing I wish it'd let you do is skip around. If I were a student, I'd like to learn what "major melodic" is without having to rehash learning all of major, minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor. Especially if I already have learned it.
7/10, overall good, but some things left to be desired.

Looks like the game has had some updates since many of the initial reviews were posted. Each level/scale now has an explanation of how the scale works, making it a very logical process to construct the scales. Was surprisingly fun, and took me back to my childhood piano lessons.

The game revolves around your ability to complete like musical scales, probably one of the most amazing games when it comes to training scales, if you are in this musical learning process you should definitely check out this game!

As a pro, I will say that this game is so cheap that I won't even bother with the refund.
I really didn't want to hate this game, but I really can't recommend it. If you know the scales or how to build them, you'll know how to "win", if you don't then you are SOL. There's no logic nor puzzle to this game, unless you already know the answers. It would be nice a little theory section that helps somebody that wants to learn, or if that's not the point, some kind of measurement system so you know if you've improved in recognizing the correct notes, or maybe a way to hear and compare the scale given with the one you have built to hear an error at least.
But no, there's no point to this game. Nothing learnt, nothing to improve your skills, nothing that makes you want to go and learn for yourself... nothing but a bunch of scales without context.
(They are even in the order of the Circle of fifths, so the devs must know something about music, but then, no context whatsoever)
I really hope the devs improve and expand this game.
Will keep playing for a bit to see if I missed something but I highly doubt it.
Edit 1: I'm changing my mind and recommending this, even a direct approach as this, is better than no game.
Edit 2: No, sorry, I can't some scales are written incorrectly... I don't stand by this anymore. <-- Edit: this is supposedly fixed by the dev since (haven't checked, didn't bother to reinstall, but good on the dev on maintaining the game after release)

Poorly designed and implemented. There is no reason for this "game" to exist. For amateurs, there are far better, more fun, and not to mention free resources for learning the major/minor scales ( musictheory.net, check it out!). For pros, it's boring and brings nothing new to the table in terms of scale construction or music learning applications. I bought this on sale for like 50 cents because I am curious about music games since I am a composer but also enjoy games. It's not even worth installing though.
There are also so many music theory mistakes in the game, to the point where it could be actually detrimental to someone's learning if they decided to use this as a tool for learning scales.
Edit: The developer has left two comments which I'm not even going to bother responding to. It's not my job to reinstall and go through your game again to tell you which mistakes you have made. Not to be impolite, but you would have to pay me to spend time doing that. I do music for a living, and I have better uses of my free time than helping you do quality control for free.

This is an important app on Steam. Scale Enchanter introduces users to many basic and important scales. Low memory cost and processing power help in keeping this app helpful and compact. There are also achievements for doing these scales so one can log when a scale was first discovered and completed for personal record-keeping.
