I thought Graviteam always attention to detail... However, why are you too lazy to change a picture in battle selection screen? This battle took place near Mozdok and Caucasus, but you use a picture with a red dot to indicate this battle took place near Kharkov ??

Found this one a bit of a slog and didn't enjoy as much as I would have liked. Can't really see myself revisiting it. For a start the terrain's a muddy slush that is difficult to manoeuvre across. As a consequence, the many battles involving large bodies of infantry are creeping matches that can go on for what seems like forever. Next up is the disproportionate forces. Hopelessly outnumbered, the German player is going to have a very tense time mounting an effective defence, especially in the face of overwhelming artillery and air support. While the Russian player is in for cake walk against an AI which is poor in conserving it's limited force for the long run. Lastly, the topography is mostly flat and featureless (and even depresses me to an extent), presenting limited tactical choices on force positioning. The net result seems to be little islands of resistance with plodding attackers washing against them. However, it does present a unique terrain and challenge (especially for the Germans) which can be rewarding.

Of course I got this DLC. Of course I gave it a positive recommendation even as it was busy downloading. That's what one does, when one has learned to trust in the quality of this game. And to make sure I did this correctly? I waited until after it was no longer on sale to purchase it. Yes, that's the sort of appreciation that I find appropriate. This is, after all, one of the more inexpensive ways to travel to an exotic, interesting, and little known time and place, when otherwise behind doors in a world wrestling with pandemic. Call me Walter Mitty. If you know who that is, you have my respect.

Amazing DLC - Love the "snow desert" battlefield with its interesting bumps. And the opening when playing the Red Army. Give your orders, turn off the UI and watch the battle... And be sure to have the maps and aerial photographs ready: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2647609854
