Would be alright, if not for the forced left-wing propaganda that's all over this game. Really, you can't even ignore it or modify to your liking, like in Wildermyth. My play time is not accurate in any way, as I have a habit of leaving the computer running for long hours.

This DLCs new locations appeared less frequently than the Highlands DLC locations but were nice when they did. The encounters, however, were far more frequent and beneficial and the DLC items also appeared regularly. The Celestial Shores themselves were probably the biome that showed up the least in my experience, but was the coolest looking. I thought this DLC added a good amount to the game and was a worthwhile purchase. Always happy to see new content for this beautiful game. All it does is giving you a new island type, so it does not change the game in any fundamental way. If you are like me and just want more content, this is a great DLC. There are some small non-gamebreaking bugs I encountered, but I'm sure they'll be ironed out in no time.

This DLC is wonderful, with gorgeous artwork and interestingly playful mechanics. The celestial shores island type focuses on mystical locations, includes truly interesting new enemy types and mechanics, and is generally delightful. The content is inspired, and it shows - the Tanukis are genuine tricksters, the peacocks' procedural generation is the best in the game, the new tiles and the generation algorithm are very interesting and produce the most varied 'regions' of any island type thus far. Furthermore, I think the way the teleporting mechanic forces the trek to circuitously traverse the islets (going places rather indirectly as you might expect in a spirit world, finding oneself revisiting areas unintentionally) might make this island type compete for my favorite. It feels like there's layers to this content, that the developers are having fun expanding the sandbox with new twists and tweaks. Even better than the last DLC, and well worth your time and money. I adore this game.
