Its a very good game from a very cool idea. Especially when its made by 1 person.. Chill and relaxed, but can get technical for those into cameras. I wish the game was less demanding but maybe its because I have a 6 years old GPU. I can only run it at low resolution so it was quite blurry for me. Perhaps the game can get some further optimizations. Only one more complaint, I played Explore Fushimi Inari made by the same creator. This game overhauled that same scene and the map is more detailed and expanded, but the vibe was not fully ported over.. Especially the autumn version.. Like those lamps are now all identical red lanterns.

Great photography sim and also great for virtual tourism. Lushfoil's a good intro to photography since the camera and its options feels accurate to life and the tutorials can help teach photography basics. It's also a great game for hobby photographers to practice/take photos in a variety of gorgeous locations being able to adjust things like time of day lighting. Also fun as a videogame, trying to replicate shots and find collectibles to unlock new areas. All in all, a very enjoyable experience for anyone with an interest in photography or virtual tourism.

The game itself is graphically breathtaking, and the added soundtrack while traversing the world is a soothing touch. The attention to detail, the lighting, the atmospheric depth—it’s nothing short of visual poetry. This simulator beautifully captures the powerful impact that music and scenery can have on the mind. It’s a peaceful escape where you can take a breath and decompress from everyday life.
With myself being a photography enthusiast, I must say; thank you for your vision, your patience, and your passion. Your work invites us to pause, reflect, and feel.

TLDR: If you like photography, or are interested in trying it, but this. It's worth every penny.
I love this game. I am a (very) amateur photographer, and love taking my camera out on weekends as a hobby. Unfortunately, weather, life, etc. can make that difficult, so I usually don't have a lot of time to go out. This game has been doing a great job at filling that void. Instead of needing to grab all of my gear, head out somewhere, come back, etc, I can just hop on here in the morning while I drink my coffee, and take photos of whatever I'm in the mood for. Obviously it isn't a replacement for the real deal, but it's a great supplement and a way to practice skills or try new things. All of the camera settings are there for you to play around with. You have different lenses, and you can even find different types of cameras throughout the levels.
Speaking of the levels, I am very impressed by what I've seen so far. I've unlocked three different locations, and I believe I see at least five more to unlock. Not only are they all beautiful, world renowned locations, the levels themselves are huge. Every time I hop on I can find something new. It has a good variety of locations to practice different types of photography throughout. There are also collectibles and little toys to find while exploring the levels which has been pretty fun. Even when I'm not taking pictures, just walking around the landscapes has been really relaxing and enjoyable.
This game is absolutely worth the money. For the price tag, you get a lot of value out of this. I cannot recommend it enough. Give it a try and see.

I picked this up and couldn't stop till I beat it and there is so much more beyond that if you're a photography buff. So many inspiring locations and rewarding gameplay mechanics that keep you wondering what's over the next hill.
I can't recommend this enough

Looks good for a game, but it's not a photo-sim.
For people that can't afford the time, money or are disable to go that places it might be it. The game portion might be done well, recreate certain photo and find some stuff on the map to unlock more tools and maps, but I didn't got this game for that. I wanted to do actual photography there and to see some places that I've been before.
Sadly on the first map I had a major problem with lighting. The bloom effect was so strong on rocks and snow that it was straining my eyes despite sky being completely covered and the shadows were too dark and not matching what I would expect to see with my eyes.
At Fushimi Inari Shrine the textures were obviously in wrong places fighting for attention with sudden geometrical change, sharp edges on 3D objects not being smoothed at river's retaining walls, manhole was from "van city" and I doubt it's even from Japan. All these might sound like nitpicks but since it advertised as foto-sim the details are important and no amount of graphical tweaking helps with textures or geometry, it's a design flaw.
The photography part is just done okay'ish if you are new to photography since it may teach you something about finding subject but I would rather just go to art gallery for that or just talk with a hobby photographer of any kind.
I cannot take pictures that I would be doing because game lacks detail where I would be interested in taking them and all photos are still and lacking dynamism for me. Even after looking at what others did it's very narrow in the genre of photography that you can do in my opinion.
As a walking-sim game it's a good game with nice looks, but as photo-sim I wouldn't recommend it.

Brother, Imma be honest: on Steam at the time of this review I have 20 minutes played, but I have about 3 hours of playtime because yes... I admit that I got your game through other means... but I loved it so much, and discovered that you have been working hard on this project since so many years ago by yourself, and got with an incredible publisher that I decided to support you and your game. This is a relaxing masterpiece. I hope you keep updating this game later in the future with more locations if possible.
Thank you for your game and your passion for photography. As another photography enthusiast, seeing your passion has been truly inspiring. You started giving these scenarios for free, now it is time that it pays back to you.
10/10 GOAT. Greetings from Honduras!
UPDATE 07/25/2025: 9/10 - Unfortunately, Unreal Engine is one of the worst cancers in the videogame industry. Too buggy, it crashes more often that you would like it to happen. So, not a 10/10 anymore, but a 9/10.

I've been doing photography for about 20 years or so, have recently started professional work, so I'm probably expecting too much, but here's my review:
On the positive side, the scenery looks nice and you get to explore places that you probably wouldn't be able to in real life (unless you have a lot of money), the camera also has a good amount of manual controls which would be useful for teaching a new photographer.
Maybe it's just not my style, but I'm struggling to find interesting things to photograph outside of basic landscapes or at least interesting ways to do them, you don't seem to be able to lie down and there's a lot of invisible walls in places I'd choose to stand to get better angles irl. I'd have said this is a skill issue but I'm looking at the game's screenshots after the fact and I don't feel like the photos are any more interesting than what I'm taking in game.
The lens selection is okay but pretty limited, I'd like a photography game to have stuff that is a bit harder to obtain for the average photographer. There's one zoom lens (I assume a 24-70?) and a reasonable selection of primes, but I'd definitely like more telephoto stuff, a 70-200 is a top 3 photographer's lens so it should at least have that, there's a few birds around and occasional other small/far away objects and you're doing nothing with <100mm.
I also find the game quite headache inducing and while I like the manual options, I really don't like the camera controls to adjust manual settings with the arrow keys, which were ultimately my two reasons to call it quits so early and request a refund.
Overall, I think it's a cool walking simulator where you get to explore some very interesting environments, photographically I find it very limited and wouldn't recommend it to most photographers as I doubt you'll take many shots you'll be impressed with
