The VR is the main reason to use modeler. I bought it for the SDF (distance field volume based modeling) only to discover later on that it has competitors that do SDF much better right now. For example MagicaSDF on Patreon. So if you want VR and voxel sculpting it's really good. Just don't get it for the SDF which is currently pretty far behind some other offerings of SDF out there.
Let me be specific in where SDF is lacking. Basically the spline/curve department as well as some other things. And also the realtime rendering of the volumes is lacking compared to MagicaSDF. I asked on the Adobe forum whether they had a roadmap for future features but I got no response. So you'll have to cross your fingers about what features they plan to add and when. Until then, for the SDF modeling I would recommend MagicaSDF on Patreon
