Great artstyle, fast pace, chill music. Some bugs along the way, but that does not diminish the fun

What this game should have gotten - and is desperately missing - is a lot of polish. It controls fine with a controller, but the game only tells you the keyboard keys. The Inventory looks like a grid, but in order to get to the second row, you have to go to the right end... The story (as far as I could play) is minimal, but even the first characters use weird words an broken grammar like a automatic translation. You also need to keep talking to people until they repeat themselves... The first boss didn't spawn. To the credit of the developer, this bug was fixed. You can jump around and kill... other people (who, why?), but for some unfathomable reason, there is a hunger meter and you need to eat mushrooms every few minutes. Your bullets may be fast, but you need a fair few to down enemies, that just respawn when you come back. You can see the objects move into position before the screen fades during screen transitions... I wouldn't even mind it all that much if it where fun, but it isn't. After beating the first boss, I explored everywhere I could go, rescued some guy and got basically stuck with nowhere to go and nothing to do. From the rest of the game, the chances are pretty good that this is either another bug or some badly communicated thing you need to do. I don't care to find out, there are better games to play.
