I like this game, it has some good ideas. But Music in encounters is not good but not bad also. It feels like a HUGE placeholder for me. As i think about it more the ambient sounds and everything just feel off. Btw add sprint or something pls

Looks promising as long as the developer keeps working on it, however not really something I would go back to very often. It feels more like a tech demo, a game full of placeholders or even a pre-alpha with the bare bones set down. It runs well and I didn't see any bugs, but there's not much meat to the game. Your ship's bridge is large, yet everything is low light and dark giving an oppressive feeling. Buttons you can't press, no extra rooms or explorable parts of your own vessel. Your ship looks more like a derelict than the ones you're salvaging. I assume this is because the same assets were used for you ship as the ones you find drifting in space, which is understandable to a degree with an indie developer's budget. However, it does make it feel a bit too cheap. There was no sound in my game at all so I can't comment on music or effects in that regard. Not sure why that was. Guns seem okay, and it's nice that there's an option to adjust the wrist angle of your VR hands. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Hopefully the game will get some form of story or NPCs to interact with, otherwise it is just a standard run and gun in space. Which I think is it's biggest problem; It's empty, and without personality. At this stage of development, I don't see anything unique or inventive about it. There's so many other indie games that have you explore a location and kill enemies that there's nothing to really recommend this game over another. I really hope the developer keeps working on this and gives it something of it's own personality, as they seem to be decent at what's here. It just needs more time and something to make it stand out from the crowd. Could pet the cat though, so that was nice.

It's mostly a cabinet opening simulator with the odd overpowered gang of enemies. The enemies have oversized Halloween masks on, making it hard for a new player to judge the hit box locations. Pretty cool concept for a game but the looting is a drag and the Halloween patch is, I think, game play altering, for the worst. However, the game shows a lot of potential and has a very unique core concept. It handles well and has good locomotion options. Everything feels good with movement and interactions. I just hope they steer away from cabinet looting. It's seriously tedious and boring, when there are as many cabinets as there are. I will give this game more time to develop, before I go purchasing it, again.

i think this game needs some more time in the oven personally, and have asked for a refund, but i'll periodically checking in on it to see improvements- that being said here's my two primary points of concern number 1: for this being a vr shooter, the shooting itself feels very awkward. part of me thinks its due to the scaling on the guns, as they're cartoonishly large and feels wrong. number 2: the sound design is sort of lackluster. loot pickups emit a small tone, engagements get "battle music," that sort of disrupts the flow of how these derelict ships present themselves. i didn't play much of this game, but those two points just sort of set me off immediately. it might be wise to wait a couple of months before picking up this title.

This is a simple yet fun game. The objectives are clear. Board the abandoned ship, kill the raiders, collect the stuff and coins. After you do enough of that you can improve your ship, weapons, and deal in the space market. Graphics are cartoonish but done well enough so that you don't have problems identifying targets and being surrounded by the scenery. Weapons mechanics are a bit awkward but manageable depending on the weapon you choose. I have encountered very few bugs while playing. I also appreciate the upgrades that have come with updates to the game. I look forward to seeing future offerings from the DSSC creators.

An interesting game loop but needs a lot more polish before I would recommend this game. not being able to close cupboard doors without using the grip feature is very off putting. Additionally I have been experiencing a glitch where while I move my weapon flies out of my hand/pocket that I last put it in. Hoping to see more updates soon!

Only played 1.4 hrs so far, but really enjoying the gameplay mechanics and overall atmosphere! Has a retro 80s feel and i like the graphic style. Haptic feedback is not yet added but the developer has stated it will added soon once perfected. Some good fun to be had here! Looking forward to see how this game progresses!

Is it bad? No, I wouldn't say so. Okay, then is it good? ... No, I wouldn't say so... But for $19 it's not a waste, it's just kind of weak overall. It becomes very apparent immediately which rooms with be "fight rooms" and it isn't really all that exciting. That said, the gun feels fine and the game looks and runs fine so overall not a bad time. I will say, I would really prefer an option to only remove magazines by a button press. I don't like single handing pistols and would like to aim with both hands but the grip on the index will activate if I do so which causes me to remove the magazine. Small gripe but even so

I've boarded a rogue vessel in a sector far from home, in the hopes of finding some epic loot. I slowly progress through the dark and cramped corridors, with steam pouring from the vents, taking what resources I can find. I hear noises in the next room, and prepare to engage. The fight was long and hard, but I made it. I killed four of them, but I know more have now been alerted, and I'm down to my last magazine. I scrounge up what I can and move on. I know the bridge is ahead, just a few more rooms... I open the next door, and see two more robots on patrol. I don't know if I can take them out with my remaining ammo. They haven't seen me yet. I sneak up and take my first shot, it's a critical and the bot goes flying. Now the next... *click*... *click*click*click* Shit! I turn and run, maybe one of the bots I killed earlier dropped some ammo. I manage to get out of the line of fire, and desperately search for something. Aha! On the floor. I fumble to get the mag into my pistol, with my foe closing on me. I hide behind the door frame as it approaches and... Boom, headshot. This vessel is mine. Deep Space Salvage Crew is a really tense and atmospheric dungeon-crawler set inside sort-of 80's style industrial space ships. The rogue-lite gameplay creates great emergent storytelling as you make your way through these abandoned ships, not really knowing what you might find. Very much worth a try if you like VR shooting games!
