This is a very interesting game so far. I really think that Mindhack has a lot of potential to go far. The plot and characters are very interesting to learn about, and I think the gameplay itself is very unique. However, as it is in early access, it isn't finished, and is rather short. I replayed a section and finished the entire game in about 2 and a half hours. I really hope it is finished, because as it stands, this game isn't exactly worth 13 dollars. I wish the devs luck as they continue to work on this game, and I do think people should play this game! Or at least watch someone else play it. It's very interesting thus far, and I thoroughly enjoyed what I played!

I am having a great time with this game. It was sitting on my wishlist for some time and I got it under the steam summer sale and oh my goodness I do not regret it. I knew going in it was going to be a little bit strange based on the concept but the story and choices have me so invested. The gameplay is simple but I really don't mind as I like visual novels in general. I actually have 2 save files because I'm so interested in seeing what happens when I make different choices. Haven't finished the second save file yet but I am loving this game and looking forward to seeing what else gets added to this game in the future. Would def recommend.

The current hyper fixation where I've absorbed as much information as I can like a autistic sponge, I wait excitedly for the new chapter and dream nightly about my wife Ivrig cheating on me. The character writing is creative and relatable, the illustration and designs stunning and itches that little nook in my brain. It is a little predictable at points but thats fine and the bonus content for succeeding in the typing session gives you more character lore. It's good, I love it very much.

Possibly the best and most engaging VN (visual novel, not vietnam) I've ever played! Characters are unique and full of personality+potential, the story is rich and theorizable, the art is astounding and actually makes me want to get better at drawing..! But the world.... the worldbuilding is not only creative, but also innovative in a way that it is truly unique to itself! :0 (in my opinion at least) + I love how the atmosphere can go from unsettlingly serious to very silly :v The whole project truly has a lot of heart in it :] - The writing is also extremely well done, without a doubt, but with one bit of flaw: when presented with a dialogue option, sometimes it's not clear what the text on the options mean, only after you click it and have your character say it... Overall, it shows so much deep meaning, hidden or not. Very few games have this innovative creativity to it, this will hold a special place to my heart forever. Chapter 3 and 5 have been my favorite so far, I'm ULTIMATELY looking forward to the next ones!! Dear developers, don't stop doing what you love :D

Changing minds of people who are supposedly "bad" for the better is an interesting concept, that along with his unique, beautiful art style is what made me buy Mindhacker. It's ok, but it isn't promising. It starts strong with an accident introduction, and a pretty good first chapter and charismatic characters, but as you continue with the game, you noticed your decisions doesn’t seem to have weight, nor doesn’t feel like you’re advancing in the plot. Dialogues give subtle hints about the world, but sometimes they are too subtle, you might not end up noticing some facts that ends up being relevant later. Your dialogue options are limited, and most of those options ends up in your character saying/doing something not accurate to what was described. Either way, the only thing I noticed is some small dialogue, sometimes showing a visual effect like something’s changing, but it really hasn’t in a noticeable way yet, even with 5 chapters out. And in these 5 chapters, it doesn’t feel like much had happened plot wise. Most relevant chs. to this date imo are ch4 and ch3, and even those you don’t feel like you end up learning much about what happened, and it’s already the half point of the game! You don’t feel like you learned or did something after all that. The art style in Mindhack feels unique, it’s beautiful and I like they even add small details that are easily overlooked. I must be honest, though, the fact that almost every Mindhacking scene doesn’t any background visual related to your target feels like some wasted potential for storytelling and maybe character development for our Mindhacker MC, just to even sell more that we’re replacing their personality with what we want. Mindhack’s music is pretty good, even if it feels out of place with whatever’s happening at the moment. Don’t expect much variety, though. Gameplay is… there. It’s not even mandatory, and there’s barely any choices that gets you “lose”, and even those don’t mean much. Since the game is in Early Access, and chapter seems to take at least a year, I don’t recommend buying it, even with discount. I find that it has an interesting concept with a potential for a good story, but current chapters are lacking execution. If you're still planning to buy this game, be warned that you might be waiting a year for every chapter that’ll most likely have like an hour of content and not much more, it’s just best to play something that’s finished, or that’s actually promising and/or has good direction. TL;DR: VN with interesting concept and beautiful art doesn't feel like story is going anywhere anytime soon, even with half of the chapters out already.
