One of my favorite games back in the early 80is was "Caverns of Mars" by Greg Christensen. I played hours and hours on my Atari 400 8-bit computer. It was a simple yet very challenging game with the best 2D screen scrolling for that period.
Since than I was looking for a remake of that game and Caves of Mars comes close to that experience. In the original game you could only slow down the decent by using the engines; and once you reach the bottom, could only fly up. In this game you can use your engines to navigate in all directions BUT you are burning fuel, so you must fly smart.
It is still simple graphics, nothing fancy, but does bring up good memories of the original game.
