literally the best game ever made

Damn I remember the CD that gave me Blue Phoenix was a Movie named Blue Streak

I loved the game when I was a kid and now I can play it again.

Obviously, I recommend this game, as it was a huge part of my childhood. It's basically one of those weird Japanese horse racing games on the Famicom where you train a horse by setting its schedule then watch it get mulched by the AI and lose all your money, except... you know, good, interesting, and charming, because you're raising silly monsters that beat the living heck out of each other instead of... horses. Anyways, a few notes about this version of Monster Rancher 1 & 2, given the amount of misinformation still being surfaced in many of the top reviews: [list] [*][b]These are not emulated versions of the original games.[/b] Many elements have been changed (for the better), like bugfixes, improvements to the AI, and the availability of previously unavailable monsters. [*]While it is true that Drills can't be skipped, this is due to these versions being based on the NTSC-J releases of MR1 and 2; skipping Drills was added as an option in the localized versions only. That being said, load times are instant or near-instant, and compared to the constant long loads of the original games, the game tends to progress far faster than the originals, even without the ability to skip Drills. [*]Given the touchscreen-like controls on M+KB, many have alleged that this is some sort of mobile port, when in reality, this is likely a result of the Switch being the primary platform targeted for release. There is no mobile version of this game. 10/10 i want a new monster rancher game like these i love the little cut scenes for training from monster rancher one and the adventures scenes from monster rancher 2 is great in whole its fun interesting and full of love

My game file got corrupted :( but 11/10 game. Not just nostalgia unlike most games in my childhood I thought I would enjoy playing again.
