#tinygamereviews
Like playing a crappy version of Rock Band, but without any variability in pace, difficulty, or any music at all. I guess it's not really like Rock Band. Or it is. If you squint and play your own music. There's a maximum speed and no reason not to always go that fast.

Difficulty 1/5 There might be a couple of tricky weaves here and there, but the only reason they're tricky is because the rest of the game is insanely easy.

Graphics 1/5 There's nothing to it. There is also no music at all, so it is very much not like Rock Band in this way. It's a bad comparison. It's also a bad game on the whole. While there's something a little zen about weaving your car back and forth for a few minutes at a steady pace, that's really all 80's Night is worth. A few minutes. Since it almost always seems to be on sale, I guess it's like dropping a couple quarters into a janky arcade machine (OMG SO 80'S), then walking away when you decide it's crap.

[th]BEST[/th] [th]WORST[/th]

It's weirdly satisfying. There is absolutely no variability. The screenshot looks pretty rad, unfortunately, it never changes other than occasional palm trees with shiny blue things flying around them going by you . You can't ever make it to the totally awesome city off in the skyline. Other cars will never pass you even if you are going as slow as you can. It's weird game for sure, it might be worth playing once if it was super cheap, like 10 cents. LOL

The most fun was the overtaking. After that nothing. I made it over 9000. No, i even did 10'000. Please use your time better. Nothing to see here, please move on, move on.

It takes about 15 minutes to get all achievements. Just one run to 5000 points. So if you get it for under 25c, you can get it. Anything above that: It's not worth it, just from playtime alone. Up to that all achievements point I have never left off the accelerator and the difficulty didnt increase. So it's just boring. Visually not inspiring. Sound total garbage. You will fall asleep if you don't listen to some music on the side, or better yet: watch an episode of your favourite TV show. Hell, just watch the show and save yourself the hassle of spending these few cents.

When the dev says that in this game you "drive along the endless road and avoid other cars," they weren't kidding, because that is ALL there is to this game. There are no difficulty levels, no missions or challenges, no alternate cars, no opposing traffic, and most bafflingly of all, NO MUSIC. The visuals are really nice, but the most beautiful game in the world is still a failure if it's not actually FUN to play, and 80's Night definitely is not. I one-shot'd all the achievements in a single drive, which took me 24 minutes because the traffic frequently gets so thick that I kept having to slow down to 60 kph (about 35 mph) to pass other cars. I can literally drive faster than that on the street I live on in real life. Part of the appeal of these types of games is driving at blistering speeds to whiz past the rest of traffic, and this game couldn't even offer THAT much with the one vaporwave element it did bring to the table. I mean I guess this game's not out there hurting anyone, but would I ever recommend someone play it when Retrowave is right over there for only $2 more?

A good game. However I've played until 5055 points and then I hit a car. When I looked for my achievements I didn't win the 4 palm trees (pink & blue), the 2 stars and 2 music notes (pink & blue) and the letter K (pink).

Just play Retrowave, not this cheap asset flip with 0 background music, bad font, no customization, abysmal scoring system, and boring gameplay. The only reason to buy this game would be the fact that you can get all achievements in one 17 minute run and the achievements could look alright in a profile showcase.

Even though this game only cost me 39 cents, the game was not even worth it. The only thing you do and see, is driving a car on the road where literally nothing happens (yes, u gotto prevent crashing into other cars). The further you got into the game, the more boring it became. The difficulty did not even increase in any way. The only thing that caused me crashing the car was because I was staring out my window instead of the screen. I played it for 12 minutes, trying to get the achievements cuz they were letters, but I couldn't use them on my steamprofile. I was sad. Why did I spend even 39 cents on this. So, all in all, it has been one hell of a ride (in a negative way, lmao) and I am glad to advice y'all it ain't even worth 12 minutes of your time :P. The only amusing thing about this game, was writing this review. Have a good day y'all

This game feels like a very dull and boring copy of Retrowave. If you like retro synth just get Retrowave instead, it's better in every way imaginable for just 1-2€ more. Better handling physics, scoring system, customization and awesome music. On top of that there are more cars, interesting game modes, sceneries and achievements that actually take effort. All that gives countless hours of relaxing driving when you've got nothing better to do. 80's Night on the other hand was so blank it got me bored within 5 minutes.
