The game is exactly as advertised: an idle game. You can open it up, choose to buy or sell, and then leave it sitting until it goes up. There really isn't any strategy to it. Doesn't seem like it follows any patterns and there's nothing that affects it. You only trade based on one chart, and it seems like its just randomly generated because its always new each time you load up the game.
Beyond that, there's other problems with the mechanics of the game: you can only have a total of 8 outstanding transactions, the history tab only shows transactions from your current session, and perhaps worst of all the trading doesn't make any sense. The stocks can go into the negative and they still cost money to buy or sell, the buying and selling seems subject to some unknown fee as you never get the price its actually at. And remember how I said it seems its randomly generated each session/history isn't tracked between sessions? Yea, well, if you close the game without closing your positions it auto executes all of them. So don't ever close the game in the negative or you lose it all.
The only things that are cool is the leaderboards and that you don't actually go bankrupt until you sell. So if you're below the -$1000 threshold you can stay in the game.
This game is only good for grinding out achievements if you're patient, or if you really wanna just mess around and have a couple bucks to spare for 15min of fun before you get bored.

Idle Trading Simulator is a laughably bad, ultra simple "Stock trading" idler/clicker game where you have one stock and you can buy or sell it as you wish. Imagine a stock market with only one stock to trade. It's like slow motion Flappy Bird, but worse in every respect. Flappy Bird even has better graphics than this. You literally do nothing but watch the stock ticker crawl incredibly slowly across the screen, buy low and sell high. If you run out of money the game ends. This truly is one of the worst games on Steam, and with something like 50,000 titles available to gamers, this is an incredible achievement.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static images... it might as well be a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 10 players. That's right, only 10. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason.
Idle Trading Simulator is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Note: Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not count towards your Game Collector counts, achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.

It's really just a boring game and is nothing like the stock market or daytrading i hope the developers will add more features to the game though it was only $0,40 so it wasn't that bad but i would still not buy it. Maybe if they add more features i will change my opinion but until then its a no for me.

You have infinite ability to buy, and only have to close the stock if it goes up enough. So just buy a ton at the beginning and if it goes up to $100k profit, you win, in 1 trade.
You don't get stopped out.
this is the least idle idle i have played, I only got it because it was cheep wouldn't buy it in is current state.

Fun game. Could use more achievements. Concept is there, and bit mundane at best. Had a blast playing none the less. Only thumbs down because I got a achievement completed showcase on my profile. Got 6/6 achievements but can not display this game as complete on me profile... :( Let me show off this game please.
edit: OKAY NOW THUMPS UP VERY NICE. CAN SHOW ON PROFILE. BUY HIGH SELL LOW GOOD ONE !

If it was early access ok, but it's not. Just one screen with one currency. It looks like a school project, but it would get like a D with a note saying how the kid had used zero creativity whatsoever and should reconsider their future career choice
