It's not as bad as people make it out to be but i do agree with some people that the colors need to be toned down a few notches.

I mean, let's be honest here, these DLCs aren't exactly amazing value and some people are against all the cosmetics in this game. But Insurgency: Sandstorm kinda follows the same model as DRG (amazing game, play it, rock and stone and all that). You pay for the game once and it's yours forever and all the meaningful updates are free for everyone - by this I mean maps, game modes and weapons. These cosmetic DLCs exist as a way to show the devs some extra financial support and get some cool skins for your troubles. I think this is a good business model. While some cosmetics are a bit garish, they have retained the visual style and realism Insurgency is known for for the most part and they obviously do not impact gameplay in any way, as they should.

A very weird color palette used, would have preferred if it was strictly tan instead of the weird mix of tan and green. I think the green is a bit bright and should be darkened. I also wish the weapon choice was different as we already have a set with 4 of the 6 weapons already (like I get it, the M4A1 and shotgun are cool but damn what about the G36 or MP5A5?). I think they are "fine" and look cool, but man there is a lot of room for improvement on this one. Edit (2/10/2022): After the recent adjustments made to the two-tone skins, I can say that they are actually decent and worth to buy! They look less like plastic toy guns and now look like actual firearms with some added grit on them. Things like this make the community happy, and I'd love to see some other DLCs modified and adjusted as well in the future.

The best skin for M4A1 and Glock 17 so far. Just don't mind those negative reviews because it's a problem that got fixed long time ago.

Just make it less vibrant please. It's much too plastic-y now. I just bought the bundle to support the devs, but this skin is horrid atm.

Much better, they look far more realistic which fits this games tone. Bought because of the change so keep them coming like this! The duller the better!

Instead of offering the new skin as a separate dlc, NWI decided to change the existing skins while letting players know about the change and reasons why they did it. Nobody wanted the original bright colours and I am sure glad they changed it. Here's hoping some other skins are tweaked and/or revised as well.

The first version of this skin i didnt buyed, because its look liked toygun on the pictures. The second version of this skin buyed and i like it. Its didnt look like a toy anymore.

These look like plastic nerf guns. The colours are oversaturated and it seems like there is no wear/texture on them. 10/02/2022 Update: In the latest hotfix NWI has reworked these skins by toning down the saturation and adding wear. In other words, they did everything that the community requested. The skins in this pack are definitely good looking now and fit the theme, which is why I'd recommend them. That being said, there are many more skins, cosmetics, guns, maps & mechanics that shouldn't have a place in Insurgency. This is definitely a step in the right direction, and I hope NWI follows this path.

Yes, there are a lot of negative reviews on these skins because they looked like actual nerf guns when they came out. The devs re-did the skins in a later update and now they actually look really good. The new screenshots represent the current aesthetic, whereas before this they were stupidly bright and colorful.
