Definitely satisfys "THAT" itch. A bit buggy but considering Qbike (other game) isn't a viable lightcycle option (no offline play, dead servers, and no more support) this is the last hope for this style of game.
That being said considering the release date it appears this isn't being further supported either (hopefully it gets revisited eventually). Butttt it has AI which is cool. I might be doing something wrong but it also looks like free-roam is the only option (meaning it's one long match until you get bored and exit which when you exit does have a podium.) So in it's state although it is a game that you can technically play, it doesn't have much game structure, though it's existence makes me happy :) .
As someone who grew up playing GLtron on Linux in the 2000s ever since VR's mainstream inception with the Rift DK1 I've been waiting for a lightbike game. I know why they don't exist or the ones that do never took off, so lame though, because it's probs the thing every normie has compared VR to aside from obligatory 'Matrix' reference, and what everyone whose received a headset has thought of.
I hope my review boosts this game just a little bit, but would I recommend it to someone at $15 probs not (unless you want to support the dev). Get it on sale and understand the Early Access tag is accurate to the state of the game which is mostly a tech demo of what could be (does it better than Qbike too lol).
