was enjoying it until a mission where the difficulty is locked and cant be selected and i have to protect an ally that gets swarmed almost immediately whilst i am also under attack not even giving a chance to actually build up if youre going to have difficulty options dont lock them for no reason

The game is great at what it does, handles really well and due to the custom maps and editors you can keep it interesting after the campaigns

A decent sized campaign (and its only getting bigger) with a large roster of ships and turrets means there's a lot of replay-ability and content on offer. Only downside so far is that it requires a bit of trial and error to figure out which ships counter the enemy's fleet composition. There is tactical pause so you can always put the game on hold as you read up on everything the enemy is using.
With the loss of flash and the unfortunately passing of the Obliterate Everything creator this is the closest we're going to get to that style of base-builder auto-battler space combat gameplay and in many ways annhilate the spance improves upon those classic flash games and not just in the graphics department.

I have 34.9 hours on the demo.
The game is really fun and the devs are very dedicated. If you have any trouble or questions you can just go to their discord and talk with the devs.
If you're unsure based on the price I recommend playing the demo a lot, and if you enjoy it buy the game. If not, wish-list the game because it has a bright future!

One of my favorite games, it has great everything basically. The story is good, the factions have great diversity. Don't get me started on the scale and various play styles within play styles you can use. My personal favorite is to use carrier types for The Vaalkorei, have a few front-line ships and a swarm of carriers just spawning constantly it overwhelms them, but it can be countered.

Feels like the developers made so many good calls for a tug-of-war game. This is the best remedy I've found for that itch.
