12 Locks and Keys (PC 2021)
Just press space bar. I’m not kidding that’s all you need to do. $4.50 just to press space bar so that you can rescue a soccer ball I’ve named 'Wilson' out of a garden shed which has 12 locks on it. Why so many locks? Where is this garden shed? The Bronx?
The 2 developers Anton and Angelina Bocharov who are credited with this game, their surname is of Slavic origin and so I assume they are Russian. It also seems to be their only creation, so maybe its more a joint student product than anything else. Nevertheless, what’s on offer here is of 1 minute entertainment value if you instinctively press space bar. If you are curious and attempt to try and unlock the 12 locks of the garden shed yourself another way, then it might be half an hour entertainment value, tops.
To be honest this game should be free. Granted it works, its wholesome and has some cute, very basic artwork to appeal to maybe a pre-school type player. But, other than that, I can’t imagine another target audience who would benefit from playing this.
Also, I must note that there is a bug where if you don’t use the keys on the shed as you collect them and instead just collect everything without unlocking, then you will eventually run out of inventory space and for some reason the keys will fail to disappear when you use them and remain in your inventory which will prevent you from collecting future keys.
In final, a $4.50 press space bar game to win. The game encourages children to eat fallen apples from the floor, that the sun can be moved using your fingers and that brute force is quicker and better than actual problem solving. I agree, with their very fitting company name WOW WOW. After the first few minutes that’s all I was shouting after playing this…
