No. I don't recommend. Just switching between food or seed item, farming tools and weapon with a controller or keyboard with a lot of steps every time. Sure, there's from the inventory menu but that step as an alternative, yeah no. (To those who are wondering, for controller it is starting with LB1 and use the directional buttons to cycle around farming tool, weapons, and the seeds in 'other'. Keyboard is the Q key and use arrow keys to navigate.) Could've implemented a utility wheel or a hotbar that you can cycle around but nope. I don't understand why they have to complicate that simple mechanic. You may be thinking that its just swapping items around. Get used to it. But let it cook in the crock pot, think about it, doing that for 100 Hours in the game? Every time you farm every season or replanting new seeds after a harvest. Aw hell n'aw. RF3 was a lot simpler.

To put in summary... what I like : - game improve of QoL , yes - hina what I don't like : - too much bugged in the game , It's pretty hard to place decorations in place to be honest. - boring romance candidates other than Ludmila - less character interaction compare to the previous RF games. - less town events compare to the previous RF games . - uninterested story plot . - cannot marry some characters like Elsje , Misasagi and Radea (or Livia) which are suppose to be put as romance candidates before game release but they choose to remove them. they are much better than those female bachelorettes (excluding Ludmila) conclusion : As a fan of RF games I find this one the most disappointing and boring among all RF games , it looks like Devs aren't even trying anymore. so I'd give it 3/10 at least QoL are fine ig. not recommend for people who are new to RF games , go play older RF games like RF4S , RF3 or RFTOD instead.

Just finished the story after more than 50 hours play time. This game is great for a chill grinding experience, but honestly, if I had to choose between RF4 and RF5, I’d still pick RF4. RF5 has too many frustrating aspects. I hope future Rune Factory titles will be improved based on current player feedback on RF5.

its cute, but it has less dialogue lines than skyrim and a worse design.

Another game I want to like. Controls are a nightmare but that's a common complaint. Who ever designed the events and how they pop up was a fucking moron to be frank. I am closer to 1 character above the rest yet everyone on the planet has their random romance events I don't want to be a part of, yet they overshadow the one single event I want. So I get them out of the way... and nothing. I wait from 7am to 7pm and 0 events pop up now for days at a time. I look up all romance events and side quests I have to try and trigger them, nothing works. I managed earlier to do 3 events with Murakumo yet he rejects the confession and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I see you have to level up his friendship again to confess again so I do, and time after time it's a rejection. No one elses events are popping up so I can't even tell if it's just not working for some reason, or if there's something I'm missing. I've checked online guides and I'm doing everything I'm supposed to. I waste points on festivals I can't even experience because I can't ask anyone! Quests pile up and there's just no rhyme or reason as to when they'll start appearing again or what might be blocking it after I got everything out of the way. Visually it isn't amazing. Not sure why all the characters look like children, making all the female marriage candidates look 14 was a fucking weird move. Cecil looks no older than 12 and acts like it too. The running animations are very stuff and look very stupid lol. Farming is okay. The repetitive sounds/music/sheer amount of clicking around drives you nuts. Just can't recommend it really at all. The story itself is bland so far and not engaging. Combat is fun for the most part. I hope the new dragon game coming out is an improvement... but we'll see. For a first RF experience I feel this tainted me on the series for a lot of reasons.

Hmmm.... This is a mixed bag for me. I got half way to summer, not even a full year which to me is a determent to these games. Perhaps the days where to long, or I for some reasons couldn't connect to the characters as much, or mby i was too sweaty and cleared dungeons really quickly, but the game felt too slow pace for me. I left the game before the game left me and that is unfortunate coming from RF4. I think its an average adventure RPG, which is good enough, but nothing I would recommend.

Replaying this game (this time on Steam) has made me confident that this is my favorite Rune Factory. Love the characters in this one (Martin my beloved), and the farming and fighting are both great. My one qualm is that I wish there was a little more post-game content, but everything else I love.

Still lacking compared to what Rune Factory 4 has to offer, nevertheless if you're fan of this franchise then it's a definite must play.

I'd recommend this game - but solely to fans of rune factory and would recommend them rune factory 4 first. Pros : It's the first Rune Factory 3d Action RPG, and having really great character designs and the great systems of rune factory but.. - Oh my god the clock is sooooooo slow. This would be fine if there was an option to speed up the game time but at 1 in game hour to 2 real life minutes, it's painful when waiting for certain events that happen within late time frames and you're done with most of the content. - Controls are okay, although not intuitive. - I really wish that they'd make it so that max upgrade tools cleared boulders/trunks in one tap. - The combat while it was never the best gave some challenge in the grinding and RPG aspects in the previous entry, whereas in this case even the post-game content is rather lacking.
