I picked this game up on a whim just browsing steam, and boy is it good to know I can still track down diamonds digging through the store. I went in expecting an edgy little fun time, and suddenly I think I've found a lost copy of 2nd best Devil May Cry game (but with a more interesting story).
This is way better than I could have expected given the small team that put this together. The story is interesting with some solid enough characters and it felt good to play through a campaign like this again since it's been a bit, but really I just need to compliment the amazing action and feel of the game. The levels are paced just about perfectly (on hard at least) and the actual moment to moment action is fantastic. Way more level and enemy variety than I would have guessed and I can't believe the weapon variety they surprised me with as the game went on. That's not even getting into the unlockables, fully fleshed out characters ready to go and completely unique.
The dev seems motivated and active too, both adding content and balancing out things. I personally didn't run into any big sore spots, so their balancing is clearly going well. I look forward to seeing more of their work if this is the kind of thing they can put out working mostly alone.

Pros
Still gets occasional updates/bug fixes
movement isn't very strict, it's actually so lenient you can glide across the map by spamming aerial moves
one fully fleshed out character and four extra characters unlocked at the end
story isn't bad, even with occasional unnecessary/meta dialogue
Cons
few annoying enemies, but most are being reworked as of writing this
the way bosses are stunned feels more like a souls game (hit until they get staggered. wish it was more like vergil who is open to being combo'd at the end of certain attacks)
some tracks are unfinished so they aren't officially released
7/10 very good for your first game
