A game about a spliced Fox and it's trusty AI lunchbox exploring a new planet helping robot locals fix their machines and solving mysteries plaguing their planet. After finishing it. I wished I could play more of this game. The game mechanics are great! Though it isn't as complex as some realistic games. This game lets you collect items you can use to repair machines and tools. It encourages you to explore the world, looting for items, and talk with other NPCs to find ways to fix things. The bit artstyle of this game is also impressive. I love its distinctive world designs and characters. The music used on this game is very relaxing. Though my complaint with the sounds of this game is their snow walking sound effects on
Bitter Mountains
. It's really loud and it crunches my ears so most of the play through I have to ride a motor bike and avoid walking on the snow. Maybe it'll be fixed on the next patch! And besides that, I am in love with its heartfelt story and characters. It's wholesome and I'd love to experience more on the game is. It may be linear and like around 12 hours long. But the story is engaging and impressive nonetheless! For an indie project. I applaud the devs for this game! I didn't gain enough traction as I thought it would. So give this game a try and leave a review of your thoughts on this.

I was incredibly surprised by this game, in a good way. I'm not sure why, but I figured it was going to be a very tiny on rails game only a couple hours long. That it would just be like, fix a thing, then another, a few more times then over. After an hour though, I realized its actually going to be a really beefy game with a lot going on. Maybe it's my fault for making a bad assumption, but perhaps the marketing materials should make it more obvious this is actually a serious game and not a small little experience.

As it is, FixFox is more of a highly interactive visual novel than a game. Gameplay does feel slow/boring when doing a long session, even clunky/unpolished at times. The world-building and story are great, albeit the writing sometimes does too much hand-holding. For audiovisuals: I love the aesthetic of FIxFox, it is very cozy and a lot of care clearly went into making the sprites and music. As for the puzzle aspect of the game, it's not a great puzzle-only game. As for the ending: I personally liked the premise. TL;DR: You want a puzzle game? not for you, but if you're looking for a VN with puzzle mechanics and a lot of open world to explore it might be your cup of tea.
