Cheap, playable, and controls okay. However, despite being short both in overall length as well as individual levels, some of them are designed in such a way as to be annoying. An example is an underwater maze with slow movement, backtracking, and instant-death spikes. Certain enemies also feel ill designed, such as a fish-man that walks forward occasionally spitting out a projectile you can't avoid if too close, and a stationary snake that can only be damaged when a spot on it glows that can't be timed to hit with your lone ranged attack. Thankfully, the bosses aren't as annoying as some of the levels or standard enemies. Buy this only if you can get it cheap, and only if you have patience and are willing to die and replay levels over and over again until you figure out how to mitigate damage or just get lucky. This isn't a game I'd recommend anyone play over any other title. However, the game is beatable and generally not too obnoxious in design. On the one hand, I want this game to exit the "profile features limited" phase for my Achievements to count, something that can only happen if more people buy it. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend this game because it tried my patience despite being perfectly passable as an experience. I mean, I didn't hate it, but I don't feel that's a good enough reason to recommend it.

If you catch it on sale and have 2 or 3 hours to kill this is a fun and simple old school side scroller worth playing especially if you got a soft spot for playing as barbarian warriors in a land of sword and sorcery.. Also pretty easy to get all achievements on your first play through.
