Who needs a beta-blocker and ace inhibitor when you have the Spirit and the Mouse?

My only 'complaint' is wanting more. 6 hours to get all achievements but I had a very good time. Hope we get a second game someday.

The game has a sweet story line, a little humour, interesting spatial reasoning puzzles and other puzzle formats, beautiful music and graphics, and the movement, etc. felt seamless on an Xbox controller. Experienced some minor issues because I was using another monitor to play.

Pikachu if it wasn't evil and messed up. Very cute little story and satisfying completion.
Once I found out this game takes place in France, I set it to french for practice. Worked really well! I think I learned a few words.

This is one of the most emotionally-rewarding games I can remember playing. I absolutely love the concept of a protagonist who does good for no other reason than a desire to help others - no coins, no stars, no equipment upgrades, no badges, no awards. Just the pure intrinsic joy of solving a puzzle and completing a task. I was not expecting to be so moved at the end of the game, but looking back I think it is because as the game progressed I more and more wanted to continue for no reason other than to help the characters I had met along the way.
Anyway, that's what matters about the game. From a more technical viewpoint, it's a clean, efficient puzzle-platformer that challenges you to make every use of the few powers you have find all the hidden secrets of the map. Graphics are simple by lovingly-made and fit the personality of the world, and the French jazz-inspired soundtrack is perfect. I particularly appreciate how the camera reinforces the mouses-eye-view of the world, challenging you to find high points to be able to find your next goal.
Like all my Steam games, I bought this on sale and my review is based on that price - beating the game with >90% completion in under 8 hours, I probably would have expected a larger game world with more levels and more puzzles if I had paid full price. Regardless, the developers deserve credit for the unique style and approach of the game - bravo!

Cute and accessible. What the game lacks in depth it makes up for in charm, with a handful of lovingly decorated locations and dozens of characters to meet. There is one collectible type with a very fair hinting system, and all achievements can be earned in a single playthrough.
There is little for replayability with the amount of backtracking you need to do during normal gameplay, but for the price and game length (about 5-6 hours) this is a great pick for a stormy summer night.
