Bleh game.
i dont write reviews but i kinda had to this time.
i was glad i stopped playing before the 2 hour mark to refund it, but i fell asleep with the game on it was that boring and now have 12 hours. sadge.
it looked good, hoping it was a indie Seum or a indie platformer but it runs like shit and is shiny poop. well polished turd.
completed all the levels and was sucky, glitchy all the way through and lacking a lot. and kinda wack. played better indie platformers.
Running Girl is better.

Rent's Due Is An Indie Made Platformer That Really Ended Up Enjoying It. It Does Have It's Pros And Cons (Which I Will Get Into Shortly), But Knowing That This Game Was Created By A One Man Team Who Not Only Listens To Criticism, But Also Continuously Works On New Content AND Fixing Any Bugs That Get Found Truly Impresses Me; So I Do In Fact Let A Few "Cons" Pass Knowing All This.
That Being Said, After Two Hours Of Running Through 22 Levels, I Was Really Enthralled With The Landscapes Created Through The Unreal Engine While Finding Fun Little Easter Eggs Through Some Of The Levels. The Platforming Had A Perfect Level Of Difficulty In My Opinion. Not Too Easy, Not Too Hard (However, I'm Not Brave Enough To Face The Permadeath Mode). Now There Were A Few Levels That Left Me A Little Frustrated Towards The End Of The Game, However I Was Playing At 5am With A Lack Of Sleep So I Don't Judge Too Harshly.
With All That Being Said, There Were A Few Things That Got A Little Bit Of A Negative Reaction From. First Came Around Level 6. I Was Unaware That If You Double Tapped The Jump Button Twice VERY Quickly, You Get The Maximum Amount Of Momentum And Jump Even Higher. Maybe I Just Missed That Tutorial, But I Actually Had To Message The Dev Because I Was So Lost And Though It Was A Wall Jumping Bug. Later In The Game I Discovered That The Hitbox Is A Little... Larger Than Expected. I Spent A Long While Getting Murdered By Laser Beams, But With Enough Resolve I Was Able To Get Through. The Only Other Thing I COULD Complain About Is The Lack Of Story In The Actual Game, But As I Said Earlier, I Can Give That A Pass Since It Was All Being Done By One Guy.
Overall This Is A Very Fun Platformer That I Recommend (ESPECIALLY FOR ONLY $3!!!) Can't Wait To Experience The Free DLC The Dev Has Mentioned And I'm Excited To See What Else This Guy Brings Us In The Future!
Solid 8/10
