A few bugs in the game such as you cannot select a male golfer at the setup it gives you a female golfer no matter what but a pretty good game.

From the very first tee-off, EA Sports PGA Tour seduces you with lush greens, whispering fairways, and the kind of smooth mechanics that make every swing feel… intimate. The controls respond to your touch like they’ve been waiting for you all along — gentle at first, then confident, until you’re driving deep into the course with power and precision. Every hole is an invitation, every fairway a runway for your perfect approach. The way the sunlight dances on the water hazards, the wind brushing across your cheek through your controller’s feedback — it’s like the game is breathing with you. Whether you’re sinking a long, slow putt or attacking the pin with aggressive confidence, EA Sports PGA Tour makes every moment a temptation to play just… one… more… round. By the time you’ve finished, you’re flushed, satisfied — yet still craving the next swing.

Tough learning curve and unforgiving at the worst times. But the challenge makes it fun!

It's a fine golf game for mine that scratches the itch to play a round or two. Looks good, commentary is great and surprisingly context sensitive during a tournament/round. Career mode is varied. Obviously it's Masters focused but the variety is good none the less. Not sure it's worth the full price though, I grabbed it on heavy discount and have had more than my AU$10 worth. Half price and I still would be happy. I review from a single player perspective and have been levelling up my character quite regularly just knocking off the daily/weekly/course mastery quests, doing the free daily tournament and chipping away at the numerous challenges (a.k.a. the hidden tutorial). Up to level 42 out of a max of 60 without much stress. Many quests to chip (!) away at on the 30+ highly varied courses. Understand that you will start with a golfer with basic abilities and work up from there with skill and equipment progression. I found the process smooth and not overly grindy but some may not. Avoid the "cosmetic only" upgrades if you just want to improve your stats. The game is bad at "onboarding" new players, watch some YouTube beginner guides first. I'm an older gamer so go with the 3 button swing like the casual gamepad scrub that I am but when forced to use "proper" controls in a daily tournament they seem fine if you can take the time to master them. Downsides? Character customisation is ... basic. And, more importantly for me, no replay function. Why EA, why? The laggy UI when outside of the play itself is a technological wonder to behold. I don't want to mark it down because it's almost a comical feature. You get used to it, sort of. It's like communicating with a Fax machine. Tips - Max out the Flop, Finesse and Pick Shots (the latter is precision hitting from the bunkers), ignore the ruinously expensive power skills and just spread your skill points between the others, maybe ignoring putting past level 5 or so too. The Hack shot pretty much negates any rough lie. I've not played the 2K games but this will suit my golfing gaming needs for a while. Grab it on sale and you'll have a fine time.

I absolutely love this game, I don't have the server issues that everyone else complains about. The only issue I had, I solved by opening my EA app and updating it manually.

AWFUL PC PORT. Played this game on the Playstation and ran perfect no hiccups. Recently switched to the PC and thought I'd give it another go. Don't bother! if you have a console play it on that. Constantly crashes. You can be mid tournament about to finish and it'll disconnect you from the servers and you'll lose everything. so infuriating ! Even on single player it will kick you out your game as the servers have crashed?! plenty of other small issues that are annoying. Like changing your clubs, have to do it three or four times for it to actually register. Can only change about three then have to back out and go back in for anything else to register. such a shame ! Really enjoyable if you play it on console, avoid on PC

Thought it was good until the balls didn't actually go where it tells you the ball guides are

Really enjoy this game, i've played both this and PGA Tour 2k25. This is the one i keep coming back to, especially with all the issues 2K games has coming to light. To be transparent, I have only played the career mode of both games. This game has all the nostalgia with being centered around Augusta, the announcers are superior, graphics are a fair bit better as well. On a less superficial level I really enjoy how this game and the mechanics offer a challenge and punish miss hits. 2K25 is too easy to make career events a blow out on normal difficulty. Makes the really good hits feel that much better. I wouldnt want to play $70 for a game like this however, as i do enjoy the sport of gold, i'm more than happy to pay the current price and a little extra for in game items.

UI is a nightmare, I can't send out game invites or join my friend. It also keeps switching from gamepad UI to keyboard and mouse, BUT I CANT SWITCH BACK, I'M STUCK IN IT, EVEN THOUGH MY GAMEPAD CONTROLS WORK I STILL CANT SWING THE GOLF CLUB CAUSE "YOU'RE USING KEYBOARD AND MOUSE SCHEME, THESE CONTROLS ARE ONLY FOR GAMEPAD" WHAT? I AM USING A GAMEPAD! Refunded as it wont be fixed according to other reviewers, seems abandoned.

I do recommend getting this on a sale. The game plays like PGA 2k23 with them being so close to each other. That being said this one is way more of a grind to feel adequate in the game play when 2k23 feels good right off the tee. Online players are scarce but I have played a handful. Recommend friends to fill the lobbies if you can. Don't have to spend money in game but its encouraged for boosting. Winning events gives you in game currency to buy things you may want and winning some events gives you items adding attributes to your clubs. Graphics in these games don't change much year to year in these games either. Achievements are straight forward. So if you like golf and want more of a grind building your character choose this game.
