Full of bugs. Game currently freezes on "My Career" at a certain point on PC. in the process of asking for a refund.

It keeps deleting my progress, i've had to restart the entire career mode twice. Not worth it if you want to play career mode (which is the main mode of the game) would not recommend.

Pretty fun/good game for the price. Everyone saying the game is buggy is wrong of just has bad wifi. The career mode is the only thing ive played so far and it is very good. i bought this over 2k25 bc the price. This game has Augusta... Got the game on sale for 15 bucks

Really enjoy this game, i've played both this and PGA Tour 2k25. This is the one i keep coming back to, especially with all the issues 2K games has coming to light. To be transparent, I have only played the career mode of both games. This game has all the nostalgia with being centered around Augusta, the announcers are superior, graphics are a fair bit better as well. On a less superficial level I really enjoy how this game and the mechanics offer a challenge and punish miss hits. 2K25 is too easy to make career events a blow out on normal difficulty. Makes the really good hits feel that much better. I wouldnt want to play $70 for a game like this however, as i do enjoy the sport of gold, i'm more than happy to pay the current price and a little extra for in game items.

First time starting it up, and the UI randomly changes during Character Creation from Controller buttons to Keyboard buttons and doesn't change back. Restart the game to get the controller inputs back, and while looking through the menus I......randomly freeze in place while the game continues acting like it's playable. If the game doesn't want me to play it, then I will simply not recommend it.

I want to recommend it, as the game itself is pretty good. However... I constantly have issues trying to play matches with friends. Often it'll just dump us all back to the menu when we try to launch. Then it's set the lobby back up, invite everyone, and try again. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Also, there's a bug where it'll stop recognizing inputs from controller or keyboard. The devices are still recognized by windows and can be used to bring up overlays and such, but the game remains ignorant. Having it do so 13 holes into a match is special. There's all sorts of rumors of ways to fix it and lots of mysticism involved. I'm still trying them but it's not frequent enough to quickly know if one works. Oh, attempting to navigate the menus too quickly seems to cause the game to freeze sometimes as well. That one is fun too. If you're willing to deal with and attempt to work around the issues, and find a good sale on it, it's worth picking up. If you want a frustration free experience though... avoid!

I've played both the PGA2K series and now the EA Sports PGA Tour games extensively for hundreds of hours. Both have their pros / cons and while I like many of the game play features, shot types, etc in this game it fails miserably on the stability and performance. This game has a number of technical glitches like loss of keyboard / mouse access randomly, game freeze ups periodically forcing you to kill the application. In terms of performance I have a reasonable I7 7th gen CPU and RTX 2060 card with 32 GB ram in my system and this thing is a massive memory hog and FPS performance for a machine of this level should not be having those issues. Do yourself a favor by saving yourself the time and headache now. You are better off looking at PGA2K23 or 2K25. The gameplay, graphics, and performance are easily matched or surpass this game and a much more pleasurable gaming experience IMHO. As well the lack of a course design package for EA Sports PGA Tour really misses the boat on the creativity and expansion of this game. Finally the micro transactions for Premium Tour Points with no other way to earn them except real world $$$ is a complete turn off.

I do recommend getting this on a sale. The game plays like PGA 2k23 with them being so close to each other. That being said this one is way more of a grind to feel adequate in the game play when 2k23 feels good right off the tee. Online players are scarce but I have played a handful. Recommend friends to fill the lobbies if you can. Don't have to spend money in game but its encouraged for boosting. Winning events gives you in game currency to buy things you may want and winning some events gives you items adding attributes to your clubs. Graphics in these games don't change much year to year in these games either. Achievements are straight forward. So if you like golf and want more of a grind building your character choose this game.
