This game is about mutants who are underwater in a prison, the essence of the game is to go through all the levels and survive having learned the secret of what is happening in the prison
I am under the water, please help. blblblblbl
I've played a plethora of bad horror games before, but I'm not entirely sure where to put this one. I bought this game on sale for like $1.20 or something cheap like that, and to give the game credit, it does go on sale often. But a base price of $12.39NZD is absolutely criminal for the half hour of lacklustre gameplay you're gonna get. You play as.... I don't actually know, I think you're meant to be a prisoner of sorts in an underwater penitentiary. You wake up next to a corpse with an awfully written note, and then are sent on your way to figure out a way out of the place. First thing to acknowledge are the god awful controls. You feel clunky and unresponsive half the time and the inventory system is weird, I never actually feel like I'm using the keys I find laying around. You're given a flashlight with minimal battery life, and by the time you've run into the first monster, there's a good chance it'll be dead. I ended up using the glowstick for the rest of the game as it didn't have a lifespan on it. We need to normalise not having batteries in horror games, the only time it's ever worked is in Amnesia and Outlast. Every other attempt has felt half baked and unnecessary. The monsters aren't scary. I feel like the dev left out jumpscares on purpose, thinking the monsters would do the heavy lifting, but they're so easy to ignore that they may as well not even be there. I've seen people complimenting the design of the big dude with horns, but I'm sorry to say, he's not an original creation. I've seen the same asset used in many other horror titles before, same goes for the weeping angel type creature. The only original model I could see was the mutated scientist that was locked in the security room, but he looks like he's running around with flippers on his feet. It's wasted potential, especially when you notice that all the threats are locked to their designated areas. The story is non existent, you get no explanation as to why the monsters exist, (except a note saying a scientist "got sick"?), 99% of the experience is key hunting in almost complete darkness, and when you do beat the game, all you're given is a dry "congratulations" and a couple of courtesy claps before getting hustled back to the main menu. If there were achievements and something more to do, I'd feel more inclined to recommend this, but as it stands,
Underwater gets a miserably soggy 3/10
Check out more on My Curator Page

This game is a horror game where mistakes are not allowed, otherwise death. Our main task is to understand why mutants are in an underwater prison and how to escape from them. The game also has a pleasant gameplay with music

Pretty good horror game at a good price. It had a few bugs with one of the monsters getting stuck and the items reset if you die but it doesn't take much away from the game. It looks great and the game play is good. The atmosphere is pretty scary as well with some good challenges of trying to not to get killed. Overall for the price this is worth a play through. A game called "Underwater" that has almost no water in the game. Do water coolers count? It could be Vodka, that would make this prison more fun. https://youtu.be/iAP4h8_qUKA Its a decent key-hunting horror game that can be completed in about 30 mins. The graphics are great, the atmosphere is cool, however, the AI is a bit glitchy and can detract the overall experience. Go for it, if you got 2 bucks to spare.

In general, a good horror, plenty stuffed with screamers and does not allow you to relax for a second. Good graphics, atomospheric soundtrack and of course the classic horror gameplay that keeps you in suspense.

The game is very creepy and looks very good. I wish the ending was a bit better but some may like it. It was a bit confusing at times because of the flashlight needing freaking batteries. So if you are not moving quickly and find all the locks and code you will lose power and it is literally unplayable until you have light especially if you are uploading to YouTube for viewers to watch after compression. I did discover if you quit to the main menu and start back from continue game you will reset with new batterie's and your last saved checkpoint. The big monster was scary at first but after a few times not so much. Now the mannequins ........ 8/10. GGs

It should have been considered a demo game if not free. There wasn't many challenges and it was not scary at all. I would have never paid that much for a game that was this crappy for the most part. Do not spend your money. Yes I did beat it, but because that was it was a very big let down after you open the door upstairs.

It's not good. There's very little story. "You're trapped in an underwater facility with monsters. Get out." Spoilers: you get out. And then you get a "Congratulations!" screen. There's little monster variety. One monster looks cool, but is very fat and slow, confined to one room, and can easily be outrun. The second monster is one of those "Weeping Angel" things you gotta stare at so it doesn't kill you. The last one is just some mutated dude who chases you in a hallway. And if you die, all the monsters reset anyway and you can just not run into them at all. I hate the flashlight mechanic. Stop making games where your flashlight has a battery life of two minutes or less. THAT IS NOT HOW FLASHLIGHTS WORK. The gameplay is basic. Get the key to go to the door...to get another key to go to another door...to get a door code to open a door...to get another code to get inside a room with a key...oh hey, the game is over now. You can beat the game in under an hour--possibly even half an hour. Which would be fine if the game had anything to offer besides what I just mentioned above. There aren't even those cheap-ass jump scares I'd expect from a game like this. You just get chased by monsters you can easily outrun. There's literally nothing positive I can say about this game except it looks nice. And I'm not even sure I can consider that a compliment either since they may have just bought a map pack from the Unity Store. Nevertheless, if the scenery was made from the ground up, then giving credit where it's due. Overall, don't play it. There are many other activities you can spend 30 to 60 minutes doing.
