If you're a fan of rhythm games or visual novels with a bit more gameplay, you really should give Cat Leather Jackets a chance. The rythm minigame is really fun and I like the songs so much I honestly could listen to them even outside of the game (found it on Spotify!).
There's some pretty funny bits too, like the hyperspace/beatmpap scam actually working on Priya even if she knows it's completely made up, or most Priya/Dave interactions so far.
Hope everyone does themselves a favor and gives it a try <3

I absolutely adore this game! While I might not be the most skilled player, there's something undeniably captivating about Pryia, the main character. The game's charm is irresistible, whether it's the vibrant world design, Pryia's endearing personality, or the engaging storyline. It's an absolute delight that's hard not to fall in love with!

So good!!
Reminds me of the old times watxhing my cousings play guitar hero (I wanted to play sonic riders, so maybe take notes on what game to take inspiration from next)
The conversations feel very natural and make me feel like I'm talking to my musician friends who don't know what they are doing with their lives.

Great little game! Feels like reading a comfy graphic novel, with a fitting Guitar Hero mini-game to boot.
I'm not a fan of visual novels, so I was originally more interested in the rhythm game aspect (as I *am* a fan of ska punk). But the coming-of-age story and realistic charismatic characters quickly got me surprisingly engaged - and even a little emotional at some points. Also, the visuals are obviously great.
The game took me around 1h30 to finish, so it is kinda short. But I do enjoy games that can be finished in one sitting and the duration felt just right for that. Still, replaying the songs in Practice Mode is a nice excuse to come back, and I do see myself revisiting the full story just for the vibes again.
(P.S.: they got the soundtrack on YouTube and Spotify, which is great! I've actually been listening to "Skank To Heaven" since I first heard it on the trailer.)

Guess this is gonna be that one critical review among the positive ones.
So, first of all, to give you an idea of the rhythm game aspect; it plays pretty much like guitar hero. You select the lane of the incoming note, and hit another key to strum once it is on the judgement area. Not exactly something I am used to doing on keyboard, and I am actually not much of a fan. I would have preferred if it's just hit the lane when the note is in the judgement area, so it'd play like DJMAX and similar rhythm games that I play a lot. Because, not gonna lie, while I am getting the hang of it relatively fast, I still make mistakes more than I'd like due to the double inputs and needing to use different fingers than I am used to. The game comes with, from what I've seen, only 10 songs. Not exactly a vast library that I'd wanna invest much practice time on to build up muscle memory so I can master this kind of rhythm gameplay. Not to mention; the songs are also really short.
BUT... I do have to add it isn't TOO big of a deal, just a bit of a personal gripe. Way I see it, as this game is more of an experience, a story based game that you just play through once, maybe dabble in the songs a couple more times, before shelving it. It's not the kind of rhythm game made to be booted up a lot just to play like I would rhythm game only games, and that is fine.
The music is... unfortunately not my taste, but that is naturally personal. Don't really dig the trumpet stuff. You might love it, though. Many people seem to do so. But I was led to believe I'd love it too after reading all the reviews raving about it, so... be forewarned that it may actually not be to your liking all that much, either. It's not like I hate it, I just am not jiving with parts of it, namely the trumpet blaring through it. I do like the guitar riffs and such a lot though, which is the parts you get to play. But it tends to get diluted by the trumpet. I've found myself listening to the trumpet getting solos while all I had to do was hit a note once every 5 seconds, which was really boring, and when it's not even pleasing to my ears, it felt really bad. I think the latter is a good point of critique though, taste in music notwithstanding. As, when playing a rhythm game, I want to be kept occupied by playing it. Not just be left waiting for a new note to finally come in.
So, that's it on the rhythm game bits, so what about the story? Well, the story is not really all that much to write home about either, unfortunately. It's just not very riveting. The lack of punctuation many times is also rather jarring. It looks off, because, well, it is. The protagonist is also a spoiled and lazy young woman who is awful to her mom. I really do not like her. Then again, some people do be like that so it's at least realistic. But in reality, I'd hate such kind of people too so there's that.
The art is nice, I dig the unique style.
Anyway, not a bad game as a whole, but, certainly not worth the full price imo, not even at 10% off which I'd gotten it for. I recommend waiting for a bigger discount. After all, there's many free to play rhythm games with quality gameplay and songs, and again, the story isn't really adding much to the experience in my opinion to justify the price tag.

The drawings are very nice, really brings you to an underground atmosphere and feels kind of nostalgic. It plays weel but the best part is the music.

I was not super into guitar hero like game, but this one changed my mind.
Mainly because of the storyline and the original music. Visuals are also amazing.
Definetly recommend giving this game a chance, it can surprise you like it surprised me.
