Love it, found it on my iPhone first and went to see if there was a PC port. Such a relaxing game and soundtrack. :)

This is a very relaxing game that feels rather reminiscent of Flow from the Ps4. If you want to spend a little while swimming around as a shark and eating shoals of fish that move in a very realistic and fun way then this is definitely the game for you. The only potential downside is that it's a bit short but the price to value ratio is very fitting. I didn't actually bump into any major issues while playing, rarely my quests would glitch out and I'd have to relaunch the game but I noticed this tended to happen after entering the shop on the main menu and changing my shark skin. The game did crash at one point but I'm not sure what happened to make that crash. I also didn't have any issues with managing my energy while playing aside from one time when I decided to backtrack to re-find an orca for a quest and all of the shoals from that area had disappeared, forcing me to race to a new area to spawn more just in time to not starve. Otherwise I had no issues with starving. My biggest criticism is just that the game gets a bit boring once you hit around day 50 because you stop finding any sharks that are bigger than you and instead just swim around eating every single thing you find. Bosses would also spawn and then almost immediately go black, to the point where sometimes I wasn't sure which shark was the boss if I was around others when it happened. I also think that the grind to get the last few skins is a bit much considering I got every single one of the special skins and the legendary skin for surviving 100 days, but still had to grind out for a while longer to get enough coins to unlock the remaining random skins. As a side thing I would love it if the colors you got from eating goldfish and energy fish stayed longer, along with the colorful rainbow fish that show up sometimes when you spawn in upon opening the game. I also think it would have been fun to find shoals of the rainbow fish more often.

it eventually gets repetitive and boring, other than that it seems to function alright. also it pretty chill nothing crazy happens, there are "boss fights" but they are not very hard in anyway. idk i found it kinda lame after a wile imo. but it aint a bad game so ill give it a recommend.

Not much content right now and I don't know how people are finding it relaxing given how quickly energy drains, but the visuals and movement of the shoals are pleasant and there's some unlockable skins to work toward and give replayability to the otherwise uneventful first few missions. I look forward to them hopefully improving the pause system, which is really my only complaint gameplay-wise as while the other sharks stop with you, the smaller fish keep moving and may leave before you unpause.
DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review

PLEASE NOTE: This review is/was written when this game was in/is still in Early Access. Think twice before buying/playing this game
Shoal is a game developed and published by Vidroid The game offers some nice graphics and environments, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same and has a really great aesthetic Shoal overall, however, is a fun game to play, and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is a good adventure simulation game and to play in short bursts It's a shame this game hasn't received the love it deserves as for such a small indie game, it's quite complex and fun once you get the hang of it, for such a dirt cheap price, you should definitely give Shoal a go!
RECOMMENDED :)
REVIEW SOURCES:

None

extremely relaxing and fun, and it's kind of like slither.io or agar.io but with sharks and it's single player. don't buy it expecting some sort of action packed shark game full of blood and murder and then leave a bad review because it's not your type, instead, buy maneater if you want action. there's basically nothing wrong with the game when it comes to glitches or bugs and it's genuinely just enjoyable.

Fantastic game! Very relaxing! This was exactly the kind of game I was looking for. I haven't played with the keyboard yet but I can say that playing with the controller feels so satisfying. It feels very fluent, smooth. I was afraid there wouldn't be any goals in game but was pleased to see that there are achievements and skin unlockables. The music is calming and the visuals are so pleasing. I actually wouldn't mind seeing this game play idle on my screen. There is so much potential for this game in the future and I look forward to it. Also, just a tip for boss battles. Bosses are red, they'll follow you until you can eat them. Pretty much just keep eating until the boss turns black.
