1001 Jigsaw. Earth Chronicles 4 is a basic browser/Flash/mobile-app like jigsaw puzzle game. Solve various jigsaw puzzles made up from images that the "developer" stole off the Internet and used without crediting the actual creators, making this plagiarism, as well as an asset flip and a cash grab. An example of the stolen, uncredited/plagiarised artwork is "White Pretty Show Rabbit On Green", stolen and used without any apparent permissions or rights from ShutterStock. Sure, the image rights may allow some stock images to be used without credit (although there's no reason to believe so in this case), and claiming credit for the work of others, as is happening here, is unethical, and the creative and intellectual bankruptcy going on here is unacceptable. So what we have here is a basic jigsaw puzzle engine that's been skinned with a bunch of photos stolen off the internet and used without attribution. The icing on the cake is the "developer" here has copy + pasted + reskinned this same asset onto Steam a lot. The developer, Creobit/8Floor, has copy + pasted this game an insane SEVENTY SEVEN TIMES onto Steam with minor reskins... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? Asset flipping begins at home! Here's a list of Creobit's copy + pastes of this asset:

1001 Black Raven Jigsaw
1001 Jigsaw American Puzzles
1001 Jigsaw Castles And Palaces 1, 2, 3 and 4
1001 Jigsaw Detective 1, 2 + 3
1001 Jigsaw Home Sweet Home Wedding Ceremony
1001 Jigsaw Legends of Mystery 1 through 6
1001 Jigsaw World Tour Africa
1001 Jigsaw World Tour Asia
1001 Jigsaw World Tour: Europe
1001 Jigsaw. 6 Magic Elements
1001 Jigsaw. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. 1001 Jigsaw. Earth Chronicles 4 has the farcical price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

If you like to put puzzles together this is great 1001 different puzzles from as low as 9 piece to from what I have found so far 520 pieces, Not all of them have that many pieces but from what I have found they all can be modified at least to 225 pieces but most can be modified to 300 pieces. They all can be modified to a different cut. So that said there is hours an hours of fun and I picked it up for 49 cents can not go wrong. Also how ever this publisher made there games I know this one they have done right an see no reason not to buy all there puzzle games an 1920 x 1080 seems perfect for me.

This is an enjoyable and affordable jigsaw puzzle game for people that like to do small puzzles of say 100 pieces or less. If you mostly like to do larger puzzles then I don't think this one is ideal. It has some reasonably pleasant background music to soothe you while you work your puzzles and it has tons of puzzles (1001 images) in one package so even if you finish a puzzle in only a few minutes there's enough here to keep you busy for many hours for less than the cost of lunch. Images are of a relatively low to medium resolution. This is designed for 720p or possibly 1080p screens, not larger high definition screens. All 1001 images take less than 1 GB of disk space. Each puzzle comes with a default configuration that determines the number of pieces, but you can change the default if you want to do a puzzle with more or less pieces. You can configure a puzzle to have up to 300 pieces I think, but the user interface doesn't really have good enough piece management capabilities to make it pleasant to do puzzles that large on my 1440x900 screen because there's neither the space on the screen to fit every piece nor enough drawers for you to separate large numbers of pieces into and when you push the button to shuffle the pieces it leaves many of them sitting on top of the finished puzzle obstructing it. It becomes a hassle to lay out all the pieces in a way you can see them all when doing a large puzzle due to the space constraints and awkwardness of the shuffle pieces feature. I think the game knows its own strengths though so most puzzles do tend to be under 100 pieces and you don't really need to shuffle or make extensive use of the piece drawer in smaller puzzles. Some features I like in this game that are not in some of my other jigsaw puzzle games: - You can move around multiple pieces at once by dragging a rectangle around them first - Automatic recording of your best time on each puzzle - Extremely large selection of puzzles (there's 1001) - Soothing background music - Has a button to hide all pieces except the edge pieces so you don't have to manually sort them out or move the non-edge pieces into the piece drawer in order to have enough space to rearrange and assemble the edge - has a magnifying glass you can use to look at individual pieces more closely Some features that are missing from this game that are in some of my other jigsaw puzzle games: - multiple sorting drawers - better shuffle feature that doesn't cover up the completed parts of the puzzle - movable sorting drawers. this one appears to always be covering about the top 1/4 of the puzzle in 1440x900 resolution. - ability to pick up and drop pieces with click instead of having to click and hold the mouse button while dragging them around Features this jigsaw puzzle game has that most others also have - Can configure the number of pieces in a puzzle (up to 300 max) - Can configure whether pieces can rotate in the puzzle or not - Has a drawer for you to put extra pieces in so you can get them off the table
