My Experience I'm almost always interested in Action RPGs that pop up on Steam, and Terra Ventura, although it certainly has a low-budget look, was no exception. I hopped in, rolled an archer, and then started feeling my way around the game's world. I found it to be a little confusing and felt a little lost during my time with the game, unsure of where to go to proceed. Despite the look of the game I must say it's competent enough overall. The classes, skill trees, runes, loot, and level-up system work pretty much as advertised. However, these elements are pretty barebones. In terms of gameplay, the character movement doesn't feel very good and the aiming system felt odd and imprecise. I played until I entered a cavern where I started fighting poison-spewing spiders and fire-spewing lizards. Each of these enemies could spit a large cloud of their respective element, which dealt a ton of damage to your character. After perishing here, I wasn't really motivated to jump back in. The game's systems just didn't grab me enough to warrant me spending more time with it. It's clear that developer Logical Progression Games has talent, but perhaps they could add a few more developers to the team, increase the scope of the game, and smooth out the choppy gameplay.

The game is extremely rough in it's current state. I played explorer and fighter and was not able to get past the 4th enemy. You do not start off with your equipment equipped. I thought the XP bar was health at first, then I thought the red bar was health, but it's adrenaline. The health bar is a green circle off on it's own. It's just not where it needs to be yet

This game has great potential, but needs a LOT of work in its current state. To me, it looks and feels like an old school isometric game from the 90’s similar to Ultima VIII: Pagan and Diablo 1, which is what I found appealing about, however it does not play like either of those games and suffers from some major problems that keep it from being a better game. Please NOTE: These problems are annoying, but not game breaking issues and hopefully the developer will fix them soon. Background objects: Most of the buildings and large structures in the game look somewhat 3D which gives the game its old school isometric appeal. However, some of these objects behave as if they are flat sidewalk drawings. Your character cannot walk behind them or over them, instead they are forced to walk along the outline of the object or building, including its roof or any towers it has. Enemies such as archers that are positioned in any of these towers are actually on the ground at the same level as your character except you cannot hit them with melee or ranged weapons even though they are technically only a few feet away (your character cannot reach them as you cannot walk over building objects), however you can kill them with explosive weapons due to their radius. The fact that your character can run up to these enemies even though they are supposed to be in towers high above really ruins the isometric feel of the game. This problem also affects some small objects as well such as charts and some boxes. The rest of the background objects and scenery look good and behave as they should. Inventory and hot bar: The inventory system needs to be completely redone. It makes no sense, it visually displays all of your equipment under different tabs, however, you cannot manage or select items from it (unless you want to trash or sell them). You select your weapons and throw items from the hot bar at the bottom of the main screen which are added automatically as you pick them up. You select your armor (labeled as clothing) from a group of pull down menus on the character stat screen, except for helmets and shields (which are labeled as armor) and they have their own vertical menu along the upper right hand corner of the main screen. Potions have their own vertical menu too which is on the upper left hand corner of the screen (Only the healing potion appears to have a shortcut key for it). As stated above, the hot bar is for your weapons and throw items only and there does not appear to be a way to customize the order (the numbers keys for the hot bar are also bugged and don’t work until after you have picked up three or more weapons). I can understand that the developer(s) may be trying something new, but it's not working and I personally feel a more traditional inventory and hot bar system is needed.
