If you've played other Wolfs Moon Studios games, imagine one of those, but with timers on most levels.
If this is your first time playing a game from this developer, this is what you can expect: Turn based old school RPG goodness. This game is heavy on the battles, light on the dialog but still has an interesting & sometimes hilarious story.
One thing I really like about Wolfs Moon games is the ability to switch tactics mid game----for example, one of my characters, Seya, started as a healer, then I made her offensive as her spells were upgraded, then she ended up a healer again at the end. Not a lot of RPG games allow for mid character changes like that.
My playtime was on the short side at 9.9 hours, but that's because I was always watching the timers.
Overall enjoyment on a scale of 1 to 10: 8

I’m a big fan of this developer’s games so I could hardly wait for him to release a new game. This game did not disappoint either, moreover. It’s a lot of fun, has a humorous dialogue and is original. Some characters we already know appear, but also many new ones. What I especially like is the ability to learn new skills and develop characters to my liking. The only thing that bothers me is that the game is too short! I finished it in about 8 hours, and I wish it had lasted at least another 20. Since the game is a bit shorter than the others, there are no things like fishing, mining and crafting. Attention is focused on the fight, the advancement of the characters, earnings and the purchase of weapons. Since there are more than 20 different characters (including one cute and fun cat) and many interesting monsters and challenging levels, the game is interesting all the time and something is constantly happening.
I recommend it to everyone who has played other games of this developer, as well as to those who are looking for a fun rpg game. Just to warn you - you will definitely want more. :)
Cannot wait for the next one.

Another winner rpg from Wolfs Moon Studio and Shane. This one is different than the others as there is only only one town with multiple dungeon levels. Dungeon levels are timed so have to be quick yet have to fight to build up all the characters you pick up (over 20) on your journey. Huge variety of monsters and bosses (optional ones also) and plenty of items and chests in the dungeons and the town has all the necessary stock needed to buy. Dungeon levels are very well designed and battles are most challenging. Characters are
loaded with a wide variety of skills and magic and battles add points for you to build them up. Search everywhere in the dungeons and in town every time you return there to get all the new characters.
Replay value is extremely high as there are so many characters to replay with different parties. Highly recommended as Shane has once again given the rpger a solid, fun, challenging, and addictive rpg.

Yet another bomb game by this developer! Hilarious intro too, no idea where these ideas are coming from but they're gold. The apple is my favorite. :)
I love all the chests in the dungeon too, obviously I can't resist grabbing them all.

This game is packed full of subtleties. You need to pay very close attention to the conversations to truly understand the plot of the story being told here. On the surface this game appears to be just another bad 8-bit graphic RPG reminiscent of something you would have played on an original Nintendo but slightly below this surface there is a heroic tale of transformation.
One would gather from the conversations that Daniel is a sweet boy who has been wronged by his parents Dourge and Curtherine, but none of that adds up once you get through most of the game. For starters why doesn’t Daniel have any friends at the onset of this game? You learn quickly that this is only about Daniel. He cares nothing about the people he dupes into helping him along the way. There are signs before you realize this however in the form of the utter disdain he has for the comical and loveable Shaina. Remember I have told you that you need to watch for the subtleties.
Upon this revelation it was very hard to continue to want to aid in this nefarious plot but then I realized that as the player I am in control and it was my duty to make sure that Daniel didn’t achieve his goals and died an unceremonious death by the boss at the end.
For those wondering how this is a heroic tale of transformation all you need to know is that Dourge and Curtherine are made out to be the bad guys but really they set in motion the proper events to rid the world of the scum they created. They gave up their only son because it was the right thing to do… I get choked up thinking about how Curtherine said to “Man up, Daniel”.... If only he truly knew what being a man was about.
Well written story… Everyone try it!

The second part of the dungeon really killed it for me. I couldnt rest my guys and figured out way later that if your team loses, they get replaced. The npc said i could teleport out after awhile but i kept getting frustrated and never got to that part. Only recommended to people who have paitence for this kind of game. I found out way later how to spend the ap points which made the game a lot esaier. I played free games like this like the sovergien and this game doesnt compete. I respect thats its trying to be a funny dungeon rpg but man does it drag. Also 10 bucks is a lot for me. Not worth it.

I'll be blunt, this game is a ball buster. It is NOT FOR NOVICE PLAYERS!!! If you are new to the RPG scene please avoid this as your first game. This game is met for veteran players. Take the game Dark Souls and combine it with Darkest Dungeon... that's this game. So why recommend it? Despite my own frustrations with it {where you can see at the Facebook streaming page, Lozza's Emporium}, I still had a good time with it. Although I didn't finish it upon this review, I can say it's worth the chance at a discounted price.
PROS
- simple turn based combat
- LOTS of characters to choose from
- dialogue can be funny at times
- AWESOME MUSIC
- a TALKING cat that travels with the protagonist
CONS
- autosaves after EVERY BATTLE!!!!
- once a character dies THEY'RE DEAD FOR GOOD {unless you have those rare Phoenix Downs}
- not a lot of gold to obtain at first
- every dungeon is TIMED
- you will often rage quit
*an annoying part with the autosaving if that it literally saves after EVERY BATTLE. so say your main character, Daniel, dies in battle and you are unable to revive him in time. well if the battle end and Daniel isn't alive that's game over. meaning you are going to have to make several save files for every time you enter a dungeon to avoid this. probably the thing that annoyed me the most was this autosaving after every battle and other parts of the story*
Again, if you like Dark Souls and Darkest Dungeon you will enjoy this game. Otherwise Id recommend another one, but Dungeon Crawler Daniel is not for beginners. Good Luck

Pure trash, rpgm game with perma death and game autosaves even on gameover, I can't begin to understand the level of idiocy involved in making this game.

So after finishing the game my thoughts about it:
It is an OK game without anything outstanding.
A few not so good parts: grinding; buying equipment is no fun, because you don't see the different properties, only attack for weapons and defense for armor.
A few warning words:
a) you must love grinding, because without it you don't survive very long.
b) be aware that you MUST resurrect dead members of your party before the fight ends...or they are gone forever.
c) your last saveslot is also the slot for autosave...save often and use multiple slots!
d) beware, this dev doesn't believe in tidy inventory....because you are spammed with different weapons and armor.
e) use every minute inside a dungeon at the end of each the monsters are no longer big problems...so easy grinding...and the next dungeon is more dangerous.
Can I recommend this game.....if it is on sale...than yes. For the full price: NO
