This game is my first experience with the SGS series. The lack of tutorials/ instruction/ videos on how to play is surprising. And frustrating. I would expect more from a game that's just a few years old. Can't say I'd recommend it.

So far I have purchased 3 SGS games but have not been able to really enjoy them. I think what discourages me most about them is that you have cards, but cannot really choose the ones you want to use making for a very scripted experience. Also the air force interface is difficult to use.

The worthy successor of the great SGS Afrika Corps playing with my favourite campaign. I love original battles so I love this game...

Wow! I never thought I'd like an Area Movement game this much. Aside from being fun, deep and challenging, these SGS titles are probably the most beautiful traditional wargames I've ever seen. The artwork and color palette are outstanding. I can't say enough about this. I find the gameplay fascinating. Recommended without reservation. Christmas sale, here I come!

Best of the current SGS games so far, got me into all of their games. The poor tutorial mixed with a rather heavy learning curve makes it difficult to get into, but once you understand it, it is quite addicting. AI is good enough to be a challenge for a new player, but is quite derpy once you understand the game.
Multiplayer exists through an E-mail method, you conduct your turn, email it to your opponent, they do theirs and repeat. I cannot say anything for the effectiveness of the method yet, but if i run into any game breaking issues using it, i will update my review.
If you are looking to get into the franchise, i would recommend you start with this game. I have played most of the titles and this is easily the best learner.
