I really like this game but I'm having an issue with continuing and progressing in the game at certain parts. (INCOMING SPOILERS)

Specifically when I get stuck in the spider realm... the furthest I've gotten was obtaining the green glowing crystal and the red kitchen key. After that I have no idea what to do. I can't seem to find where the red key goes and have no idea what to do with the crystal. I cant seem to hit all the flowers at the same time with the pellets, but when I hit the flower and he thanks me and says he has a gift for me, i have no idea what that gift is.
I'm just so confused but I dont want to give up yet. Maybe if there was a bit more direction it would be better to play but as of now... idk.
