Sixty-one hours in and still addicted. A few small bugs but very smooth game play.

Honestly really fun to play. Flying feels really good, creating a base is super fun, the farming and ranching mechanics are nice. I haven't gotten super far into it but there's already SO much content to get through. The crafting and building is awesome, my only gripe is how you learn to build workstations and upgrades. While it's cool to learn them through exploring, it's possible to learn several stations/upgrades before learning the ONE station you need to access all of them. (ie: I've learned a ton of wool sails and workstations, but havent learned the loom, which lets me actually create the items needed to access them) So maybe some minor fixes to make progression a little cleaner, make it so you get certain builds after a certain amount of knowledge stones / anchors. Otherwise, ITS REALLY ADDICTING! I'm having a lot of fun! :D

It's early access and it feels like it-- however, the core gameplay loop is fun and just needs to be fleshed out a little more. There's a good amount of building flexibility (though the character customization is horribly ugly). The stylized graphics are good. The game runs smoothly and is stable despite its early access state. Most importantly, it has an excellent concept that is executed well-- it doesn't get much cooler than sailing an airship island through an array of other floating islands.

I really want to love this game but between the lag I get when flying and the fact I just lost progress because the save and quit function isn't working properly make me wish this had improved since last I played. SAVE SAVE and SAVE again maybe then your file will save properly. I wish there was a MEH for recommend section

Ok, while I still recommend this game, I give it 3/5 stars. Pros: Absolutely gorgeous! Interesting spin on the survival genre Love love love flying my own island around! Crafting and building are solid Cons: Controls feel...mushy (don't know how else to describe it) Crashes VERY frequently--never the same thing twice, either Honestly, the crashing is what really drags it down for me. I don't run a potato of a PC and can handle the game on the highest settings no problem. There's never one thing I can point to and say, "Yep, that thing crashes my game every time." I can sit and play for three hours no problem, then the next time I'm crashing every 5 minutes on things I just did in my last session. GREAT game, and if you can get past the crashing issues, then totally do yourself a favor and pick it up.

I was starting to love this game but then the worst happened... Somehow I glitched away from my main island and I got stuck on a random island when I reloaded the game to play again. I couldn't find my island anywhere nearby so I got totally trapped. I tried my back up files and they were all corrupted too. I was really having fun with this game, but now I have to start all over. All my 72 hours of hard work gone... Please fix this! =(

Its a fun survival game that isn't strictly combat based or always having to worry on hunger and thirst, heavily recommend this game.

Short version: This game is like the most juicy beef wellington in existence but the cook literally just assembled it and it still needs about a year or two in the oven before you can actually eat it, and hopefully they don't burn it because it has a lot of potential. Long Version: While being playable it really does feel in early access and you should definitely wait for an update or two before buying it, i don't think the game is worth it's price yet. It's a very nice cozy game, but very buggy, at least in multiplayer where i spent 90% of the time playing. It also has no excuse for it to be running this badly, i know the steam deck it's not to be considered a top of the line gaming pc, but it can still run most games very smoothly, Aloft however, makes it choke and die, and people i played with with actual gaming PCs have had the same issues, we also encountered a situation where the game would crash instantly upon loading in, forcing us to stop playing. Me rambling about weird stuff in this game hoping they will fix it in the future: The game has also a lot of weird balancing and progression quirks, for example, why do i have so many non renewable resources in a game all about environment and ecosystem restoration?? why can't i make charcoal myself? like, you do get enough from islands, but trees are literally an invasive species in this game and if you don't chop them down constantly your island WILL get covered by them, so you end up having literal tons of wood, but not any real way to use it. The combat has a lot of mechanics that are 100% meaningless, you can use the most basic sword without any buff or food and still just kill every enemy in an island(if you just jump at the right time you can avoid every hit), i played for most of the game without using 90% of the combat mechanics the game has to offer, and there was no issue whatsoever. And also you will learn some recipies WAYY before you can actually craft them, the biggest example being fungicide, you will learn how to make it at the end of the first area, and only be able to craft it when you get to the last area, and at that point you don't need it anymore. Also, i really hope that they plan to add more decorations because it feels like the game has barely any at the moment, you can still make some pretty nice stuff but with them but this being a "cozy" game a good 50% of the appeal should be decorating your house. Something that also really bothered me was the combos you can do with tools, for example if you're chopping down a tree and hit right click at the right time for 3 times your character will do a more powerful chop, the issue being the animation for this attack is so slow that you actually cut them down faster by missing the combo and clicking again, so you get punished for playing the game "right".

Was really excited for the game, but a number of critical resources don't re-spawn on their nodes. Yes there's 500+ islands available, but if you and a group of friends play, there simply won't be enough resources to go around on a single play-through. It more or less negates the multiplayer experience and to some extent the single player experience as well.
