Delightful and thoroughly enjoyable. When I first started playing, the idea of farming, foraging, crafting, fishing, combat, and creature collecting in the same game felt like a game stretched too thin. But, the different mechanics and aspects of the game quickly meshed together and built off each other in a very organic way. Learning the optimal strategies for scavenging/creature collecting and the card combat system was the most rewarding part of this game for me. I *adored* this game and will definitely be doing a second playthrough.

Very cute, cheerful, and so far pretty addictive game. I found the learning curve to be pretty small, it's easy to get into. I would succinctly describe this game as like something of a cross between Stardew Valley and Pokemon. I mean not exactly but it has a lot of elements that remind me of both. if you like both of those games, you will probably like this game.
It's charming and fun. There's a huge map to explore and I've only just scratched the surface, can't wait to keep playing!

This game is a bundle of joy! It's got a bit of Stardew Valley, a bit of Pokemon, all with a little bit of alchemist magic! I thoroughly love this game and wish I had started playing it sooner. There is so much to do and it doesn't feel like I'm grinding for the next achievement. You explore the world to get new items to level up your stuff and your spirits. It's been a joy and I can't wait to keep playing!

LOVED this game! It has a little farming (minimal and can be skipped if you don't enjoy farming - I do, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I could get sprinklers). It has creature collecting. I wasn't excited about the card-based battling system, but ended up enjoying it. The battle system is well thought out and ramps up slowly so you can learn it quickly. The map is randomized to a degree each time you start a new file, so you can replay it. I really enjoyed the temples, they have simplistic puzzles that I still found very enjoyable and also hidden areas/chests. Overall it is really great and you should play it!

I enjoy pixel art games, dungeon crawlers, farming sims; everything this game takes inspiration from. Unfortunately, I can't in good conscience recommend this game. While there's a good number of things about it that are good, like the art style, sound design (mostly, but I'll get to that), they're overshadowed by glaring issues that not only don't get better over time, but become more and more frustrating. Since this is a negative review as of writing it, I will be focusing on my criticisms of the game. They're not in any particular order, just the order in which I thought of them:
• Random secondary weaknesses for spirits are really bad. You could get a strong earth spirit early on and then be totally screwed because it's randomly also weak to water, which is very common in early areas too. So you'd have to just keep trying to tame more of that same one until you got lucky. That much RNG is not fun.
• Going back and forth between the barn, lab, and medallion is tedious, and only slightly made easier by spending rare resources on an item you can place to access the lab remotely.
• The town feels empty and even after 8 hours I still don't know where anyone lives since no one is ever home when I go there unless it's a shop.
• All NPCs being romanceable also resulted in them all feeling a bit homogenized; they're all safe, and vaguely Tumblr-friendly. It felt like no real risks were taken beyond one character constantly hitting on you. I say this as a queer person myself, that simply giving all the characters specific pronouns to use doesn't automatically make them groundbreaking in design.
• Important game information is often relegated to little tips at the bottom of the screen while in the inventory menu, which makes using outside sources for information almost mandatory, which isn't helped by the fact that the "official" wiki is sorely lacking in information. Though to be fair I suppose that isn't the game's fault.
• Related to the above point, I played for nearly 7 hours thinking I couldn't go to poison, electric, and fire islands yet because I thought you needed something to protect you while there. Turns out you just take stamina damage for no discernible reason.
• Fishing feels lacking in that there aren't a lot of fish to catch and don't seem to serve much purpose. Not to mention, upgrading the fishing rod being locked behind certain fish when you can upgrade all the other tools from the get-go only limited by materials and money, all of which you can get really early.
• Radial menu is finicky and feels like it should've considered the total number of tools available, since switching wheels is clumsy. 75% of the time when I flick the stick to select one it fires back into the opposite one, so I have to move it extra delicately, wasting time.
• The game wants to be too many things at once and as a result ends up being mid at all of them. Jack of all trades, etc.
• The buzzing sound on electric islands is way too much and started to give me a headache after just a few minutes.
If I played any longer I'd probably find more things to list, but I really don't feel like it after sitting here and writing all this. It's not a bad game in theory, and has some fun aspects, but I just can't recommend it. Sorry.

Every third time I play the game the save file corrupts and i cant open my save. Game breaking issue. This game would be wonderful and fun if i could actually play it.

Really liking this so far despite some small bugs and a fairly constant stuttering issue that I hope they fix. It's a mix of stardew, slay the spire and a creature collector. Love the representation too!
Edit: So now that I have some more hours and some cracks are starting to show. I'm still in first year fall but I'm considering stopping. The game is good but I don't see much longevity. There's just not enough to do, exploring gets repetitive and old. There aren't a ton of monsters and the actual creature collecting aspect is fairly shallow. Plus once you upgrade your deck you can pretty much kill anything, even 20 levels above you. Likewise, I just don't see any reason to do some of the things it wants me to do. You can upgrade your spirit barn to hold like 300 monsters. Okay cool. But why would I do that? I've never had more than half a dozen monsters in my barn (bc it's annoying to feed them) and I have more resources than I'll ever need.
Overall it was good and I like the dev team but it feels a bit unfinished. Cassette Beasts is still my go to rec for creature collecting.
