Out of all of Sokpop's games I've played so far, this is my favorite. Like most of their titles, this is a fairly short form title that takes 2 hours or less to beat. It's a 3D platformer with some metroidvania elements, where upgrades let you go back and acquire items or access areas that you otherwise weren't able to get earlier. Of course, being only 2 hours long, there's not much to get aside from moons that are scattered about. There's 3 bosses, including the final boss, and multiple little rooms and quests to take in order to progress to the end. The game, while being fairly small, still had me getting lost and confuse with how to progress at a certain point. Here's a tip: Once you get the sticky hand power-up, you're able to climb flower pots. I wish the game made that a little more clear.
The controls, like most of Sokpop's other games, are the keyboard, with next to no controller support available. Luckily this doesn't cause too many issues, on top of the slightly more awkward movement being a bit of the point to Sokpop's quirky design. At the same time, the controls really only become an issue when it comes to climbing, and even then, it's very minimal. Still, on top of the visuals being low-poly while also having Sokpop's signature wavy, jagged texture warping, it can make climbing some plants precisely difficult. Of course, climbing is done a lot and is one of the main means to traverse the game world, and with the need to backtrack a decent number of times, it can be a bit of a chore and a minor annoyance when you climb under a leaf for the fortieth time because the model doesn't make it clear enough where the branch starts so you can avoid it to keep climbing up the stem. If there's one other complaint I have, there's very little enemy variety, and enemies respawn after you leave a room and come back, meaning you're going to have to deal with those flies QUITE A BIT.
Keep in mind, these complaints are still pretty minimal because the game is short and sweet, and for the price, it's a very pleasant experience. The soundtrack makes the experience even cozier and fun. There's not a ton of music here but it's all quite enjoyable. Definitely recommended for those who like 3D platformers mixed with a little Zelda.
