Great fun. I hope they add even more influence groups and maybe a story/campaign. I find the mechanics of it absolutely addictive.

I’ve been playing News Tower a lot since I got it a few weeks ago, and I really enjoy it. The art style is great—captures the time period (Great Depression-era NYC) really well—and the music is nice too. Took me one playthrough to fully get how the mechanics work, but once I did, I found there’s a lot of variety and replayability.
It’s a good game to unwind with after work, but it still has enough challenge to keep things interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing how the devs keep improving it.

Incredible game! Finally an early development game that has content.
This game is ridiculously addictive, it's one of those where if you don't look at the clock, 5 hours has passed by and you don't feel it.
I love love love the way the game works especially the way the genres are structured. I hope the map extends upon further development because there's something rewarding about making those white people green. My only criticism would be that when you go to unlock things it's hard to navigate and find what you want. Apart from that I'll take whatever new content comes my way.
The game also has a good price tag and value for money. I can understand why some people may deem it repetitive but I would also argue that the amount of new things you can unlock each time is above expectations.
Great job devs!

Feature Review Lower on the review!
its such a simple yet fun game! When i initially played the demo before it was released the game was basically bug free in the core cycle of the game, and it still is, i go into the experimental branch to see what i can find and report any issues, but i rarely spot any. they have a very nice community as well in the discord!
Pros-
Like i mentioned, super simple and fun, if you don't want to get super into excel spreadsheets then its relaxing!
when Advancing and getting new things you have the flexibility to choose what you want and what you don't, so the "tech Tree" is very kind in that aspect!
This game is also one that you can easily go back into an old save and not feel like "crap what was i doing again?" and make a new save, you can jump back in and have no issues of being overwhelmed.
Cons -
Its a preference thing, but more difficult and complex. "but you liked the simple aspect of it" yes I do, but i also like darksouls and terra invicta, i like my excel spreadsheets as well and suffering through the game. but this game is still fun in that simple way.
dev. update cycle, its slower in comparison to bigger studios and mid sized indie studios, so you would have to be patient with feature updates!

Phew. Tough one.
Not because I'd be on the fence. But because I'm bad in describing things in English but I want to give it a positive review. I don't know where to start, nor how to. But this game.... oh boy, this game. It's a gem. I do love it, although I didn't play too many hours yet, but just the times where it takes place; I'm a fan of the 20s-40, so it's a must-have for me. The artstyle, the music,... its so relaxing, I enjoy it so much.
But be aware, you'll have to do with the Mafia - oh what a surprise, Mafia in the 30s, I mean...really? lol - they have.... they..... they have some offers you can't refuse *cough* ya know? I mean...*cough* uhmm... I need to get back to work, Sunday's coming, papers need to be printed.

A unique take on the business management genre. It's interactive, allowing you to hand-pick what stories you chase after and how to spin the narrative.
However, the best part of the game is the printing sequence. You pull the lever, and it releases INFINITE DOPAMINE as you watch the printing press whir into motion. 10/10, I literally never skip the cutscene.

Even in early access, this is one of the most addicting management sims I've played in a while. Looking forward to the complete release so I can expand my journalist empire. <3

The core concept of the game is great and I definitely see a lot of potential. Right now it sadly lacks difficulty and more interesting choices.
Bascially, It's just way too easy to turn a profit and achieve everything you want to. There is set number of stories you can cover each week and with very little investment, you can cover them all pretty much from the start. I very quickly found that I had no reason to spend the money I had aquired, because here just wasn't a reason for it. A sandbox mode, in which you can manually adjust the difficulty would be great.
Another problem is the lack of interesting choices and dilemmas. Right now it's pretty easy to achieve weekly goals, just by going with what is demanded during that week. There is a system that determins how many loyal customers you get based on how consistent you are in being either sensational or investigative. But I ignored that and it didn't really make a difference. I just feel like there are so many more interesting systems and choices could be derived from this game concept. If we are reporting on politics, why can't we take a position on issues in form of editorials, which attracts certain groups of people an repels others. Maybe you could even influence the outcome of an election. Things like this would greatly add to the complexity of the game and make it feel like your choices really matter.
Also, some systems seem to be more or less irrelevant. Why do I need an editor, when nearly all my articles are perfect? Why do I need a laywer, when I can just pay the fee for the files, which is laughably low? Why would I ever not bribe someone for like a hundred bucks to get access to a story?
I write all of this, because I see a lot of potential in this game and I'm exited to see how it develops further, right now I'm going to wait how it develops and I would recommend that to people who are thinking about buying this game too.
