Its a very good game ( not metrovania ). The game its way linear ( hack'n slash ) and its fun.

Really easy game. I beat it in just under 1.5 hours on my first playthrough. Sure that was on Normal difficultly, but now that I know how all the bosses move Hard shouldn't be that bad. The trick is to dodge roll into the enemy attacks. I didn't even use my super attacks. Just punch punch dodge roll. Repeat. It reminds me a lot of Alien Soldier on the Genesis. Bare bone levels with a few enemies and a big boss fight. But Alien Soldier was better in almost every way. That's not saying Krut is bad. It's just not as polished. If you can catch Krut on sale it's worth a couple bucks.

Very short game but truly amazed on how much charm and effort was put into the game! A shame this didn't get anymore funding during development but its a good IP deserving of a sequel or a prequel. Should a sequel/prequel happen, given the same treatment as "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night"; this could have major potential.

Really wanted to like this but its just tedious. Looks lovely and the protagonist moveset and mechanics are spot on. Just the enemy and level design make this an almost instant uninstall. "fast-paced hack and slash" this is not. The base enemies are bullet sponges, hermit crab trash mobs taking 8 or 9 swings of your sword to dispatch. These should be a well timed dodge roll and a slash to eliminate, it just reduces gameplay to a crawl... .....andyou cant just speed run past them either, you need their soul drops to unlock checkpoints to get to the next area (which looks exactly the same but with bigger crabs that take even more bashing). Enemy attacks just seem arbitrary too, swapping between long telegraphed attacks to just insta smacks that are unavoidable. First boss is an even bigger bullet sponge that is actually far easier to fight than the crabs. You have a basic attack, heavy attack and a heavy attack that you charge for 2 seconds to unleash a shockwave... but they all seem to do exactly the same damage so just spam "X" and dodge. Ultimately very disappointing, this should be a closed beta as it is.... but it isnt even early access this is a full release, so with that mindset it probably isn't going to get any better..Avoid this there are so many better recent metroidvania hack n slashes out there more deserving of your money; Little Noah Scion of Paradise and Lost Epic are both excellent examples.

I just beat the game today on normal difficulty (took about 4 hours) and I think it's awesome ! Personally, I love the art style, the locations, the animations (which can be make or break for me in games likes these) and the general chara design. Music is up there too. I started playing on hard difficulty and I thought the game was hard as hell. So I lowered to normal and still thought the game was pretty brutal. That was until I realized I was earning gems that could let me make upgrades (as well as unlocking checkpoints) and then everything clicked and started getting easier. You DO NOT need to gain a specific number of gems to progress in the game (unlike what that person who played the game for 10 minutes said). Gems are only used to unlock checkpoints and buy upgrades (Health points, more damage, etc...). The story was average overall but that's not really why we play those games right ? The game is not perfect though. The gameplay and moves from the character feel a little stiff to me and I would have liked them to have a better flow. I also feel like the gameplay is missing a kneel mechanic as well as a downwards air dash attack (these attacks where you jump and push down to hit the ground). But overall, even if it feels a little stiff, you definitely get used to it and get better at the game the more you play it. The dodge mechanic is REALLY helpful in making the combat more flexible and faster. Also, in this day and age, I have to give massive props to the dev team for releasing A FULLY COMPLETE AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL GAME on day one. I played the game for 5 hours overall and had no crash, no visual or audio glitch, no issues with saving and everything was running really well. This has become a true feat to see a game running properly on launch so I definitely felt like I had to emphasize that. And now that I have a better understanding of the game, I can't wait to try and beat hard difficulty as I definitely want to play more of this really cool game ! Let's not forget the really sweet price tag that is the icing on the beautiful cake that this game is. Definite recommend on my part if you like non-gimmicky 2D action-adventure games !
