This game is not action packed. It can actually be quiet boring, possibly like piloting a real rov in real life. But it also has this special feeling of diving deep into the unknown and you can find interesting stuff there. The animals are much better animated than what you would expect. Some other props is only okayish. So I recommend it, if you want to get a almost realistic feel on what piloting a sub rov is like. I don't recommend this, if you expect a story, action packed gameplay and no boring parts (ascending and descending the rov all the time for example is really boring. sometimes you see a whale or tortoise, but thats it).

A chill fun way to kill some time. Overall the game provides a believable simulation of driving a deep sea ROV (never don't it so that's why I say believable versus accurate), and performing various task. The majority of your time is going to be just flying serenely over the ocean floor scanning the flora and fauna. The occasional work task is a nice change of pace, as is the big wrecks and other items of interest. The first time I saw one, not gonna lie got some goosebumps, very atmospheric! A couple suggestions, add in a throttle feature (ie 0-100% forward movement), this would be helpful if you're moving a good way across the ocean floor. Have an indicator showing where the camera is pointed (ie how panned L/R it is and how up/down it is), or have a "recenter-camera" key. I'd love a little more external camera mobility, but I can see why that could be problematic (but it would be a nice addition if you can swing it!). Have an option to replace the default camera, with one mounted on the cage, I think that would be more of a "simulation" external view than the current magical floating camera when in the water.

After visiting a ROV training facility in Aberdeen's Subsea Excellence zone, I was intrigued to discover this little gem. The ability to simulate real life offshore ROV operations for science goals is well put together and the developer interacts regularly and takes on board feedback from actual ROV techs and pilots. Its so good that I'd imagine STEM educators would love to use it in classrooms to get kids of all ages interested.
