i like how i got this, restarted the game, restarted it a couple more times cause it wasnt working, loaded in, it gave me the stuff, but it actually didnt it just said it did.... thankyou ubisoft

The hero got some neat fixes as of recent. I'm hoping they will return to him at some point to improve more on the hero.

i use this bad boy to counter light spam, love getting called "cancer" in the process with stance and lightparrying, best dlc ive purchased so far.

The hero is strong, but feels like its not completed somehow. only having a 2 hit combo that relies on the allguard to be extended just feels strange to say the least. ignoring his garbage attack arcs and mid clearing ability, lets touch on his allguard. Aramusha's allguard feels good because it gives you a punish that feels good because it is quick and fluid and allows you to continue your chain. Kyoshin's allguard doesnt allow that unless you finish the rather underwhelming punish with a heavy that is practically suicide to throw out randomly as it only comes from a single direction. maybe im just bad with the hero, but it just feels wrong to play. he's cool as hell to play but it feels like the fights he does get into last way too long because his damage is rather slow to dish out. get him if you want but he needs more work done. once people get used to fighting him (and they already are btw) he is going to fall under because he just plays slow.

Probably best to just get with in-game currency "steel" but best designed y4s1 - y5s3 hero imo

Edit- Not an hour after my review did ubisoft roll out a buff for Kyoshin that has improved him considerably.
He is now significantly better at mix ups due to faster kaze stance, I haven't noticed him switch targets when blocking in kaze stance, although parrying does make him change targets.
He is now a fun character to play, Is he my top pick? Probably not, but using him to his fullest has all the satisfaction of pulling of a perfect deflect with assassin characters, and that makes me happy.

I am once again biased since I love Kyoshin, and the season he came from. The way he was teased and revealed was amazing. The leak on Humble Bundle only made us hyped even more. He was underwhelming on release, but Ubisoft delivered very quick balance patches to make him what he is today and even more with the current buffs happening to his stamina costs and all-guard. He is incredibly fun and flashy, with the best fashion the Samurai have to offer. If you love the fantasy of a one eyed spiritual swordsman based on Tozen and other anime, you will definitely love Kyoshin. He is incredibly viable in 4v4's, and decent in 1v1's.
Definitely worth the 8 dollars if you wish to support the devs, which you should as this was the best character in my opinion ever released.

Let it be known that on this hero's release, marks the release of the only balanced, most well thought out hero they've released to date and without any launch problems too. He's also got the best drip, the best move-set, and he's absolutely insane with his chains, and he did not come out overpowered either He's a bit of a combination of two heroes: Aramusha & Zhan-hu. People who say he's weak are just simply misinformed because I had no problem wrecking house with him in the 100+ dominion matches I've played with him already.
However, I do have a few nitpicks, one of them being that if someone is dodging forward or initiating any forward bash, your kick is nullified and you'll both bounce pack guaranteeing nobody a hit.
This list will (maybe) get bigger if something annoys me enough.

Kyoshin, while somehow completely disconnected from the Mirage story, is a very fun character in concept and the execution. He is, in my mind, a weaker BP. Crushing counters, a highly satisfying all-block, undodgeables, and fashion. The major differences there would be that Kyoshin has much longer recoveries but has dodge attacks.
Would I pay money to play Kyoshin? (Again?) Yes. Well worth it, he is a very fun hero to play, even if he isn't the new meta duelist.
