Train Simulator: B&O Mountain Subdivision: Cumberland - Grafton Route Add-On DLC

A very good DLC set in the mid-1970s and featuring a route between the cities of Cumberland and Grafton. The route starts in Cumberland and runs along the river to Keysier, then west into the mountains before descending to the city of Grafton. During this journey, trains climb two steep and long ascents into the mountains and descend two slopes into the valley. In places, the gradient is up to 2.2%, so heavily loaded freight trains struggle up the hills, often at full power. Even the descents are challenging and require careful driving. The track is double-tracked along its entire length and is equipped with B&O circular signaling. As is customary in the US, the track is not electrified. But that's not all, as the DLC also includes a second track. This is a section of the WM railway, which runs parallel to the main B&O line from Cumberland west to the paper mills around the town of Luke. In some sections, this line runs right next to the B&O line, while in other sections it is located on the other side of the river. It has a completely different character, does not use light signals, and has different speed indicators. And that's not all. There is a fan modification of the map that takes it to 1985 and beyond. In this version, most of the old WM line has been removed and you can only see its relics. Another part of the B&O line is single-track where it was originally double-track, and some bridges and other parts have also been changed. As for the rolling stock, you have GP9, SD35, GP40-2, and SW shunting locomotives in a range of colors and with an improved braking script. Additional locomotives from the 1960s are also available as part of another retro DLC. The entire map is very detailed and beautiful, especially in autumn scenarios, full of forests, meadows, fields, small towns, and villages. In terms of appearance, it is one of the best that TSC has to offer. At the same time, it is a very demanding terrain profile that will test the skills of every train driver. Overall, I rate this DLC as one of the best and give it a 9/10. xxxxxxx Velmi dobré DLC zasazené do poloviny 70. let a obsahující trasu mezi městu Cumberland a Grafton. Trať vychází z Cumberlandu a vede podél řeky do Keysieru a pak dále na západ do hor, aby pak sestoupila do města Grafton. Během této cesty vlaky absolvují dvě prudká a táhlá stoupání do hor a naopak dvě klesání do údolí. Místy je skon až 2,2% a tedy těžce naložené nákladní vlaky supí do kopců, často na plný výkon. I klesání je výzva je nutná opatrná jízda. Trať je po celé své délce dvojkolejná a je opatřena kruhovou signalizací společnosti B&O. Jak je v USA obvyklé, trať není elektrifikována. Toto však není všechno a v rámci DLC dostanete i druhou trať. Jedná se o úsek železnice společnosti WM, která vede souběžně s hlavní tratí B&O z Cumberlandu na západ do papíren kolem města Luke. Tato trať v některých úsecích vede těsně vedle tratě B&O, v jiných částech je položena na druhém břehu řeky. Má úplně jiný ráz, nepoužívá světelnou signalizaci a má i jiné ukazatele rychlosti. Ani toto stále není vše. Existuje fanouškovská modifikace mapy, která jí převádí do roku 1985 a dále. V této verzi je většina stará tratě WM snesena a vidíte jen její relikty. Jiná část trati B&O je jednokolejná tam, kde byla originálně dvojkolejná, změněny jsou i některé mosty a další části. Co se vozového parku týče, máte k dispozici GP9, SD35, GP40-2 a posunovací SW v řadě barevných provedení a s vylepšeným brzdným skriptem. V rámci dalšího retro DLC jsou dostupné i další lokomotivy z 60. let. Celá mapa je velmi detailní a krásná, zejména v podzimních scénářích, je plná lesů, luk i polí a malých městeček a vesnic. Vzhledem patří k tomu nejlepšímu, co TSC dokáže nabídnout. Zároveň jde o velmi náročný profil terénu, které prověří schopnosti každého strojvedoucího. Celkově toto DLC hodnotím jako jedno z nejlepších a dávám 9/10.
