The game is fun, but very unfriendly to beginners. First, the guide is very poor, both the way the guide interacts and the content bothers me... Second, the direction problem, as someone with a poor sense of direction, I wish the game could have dynamic guidance for directions, instead of a map with only the location labeled, I have no way of knowing where I am. Hope the author can strengthen the guide for as well as improve the orientation of the direction.

It looked a lot better in videos/screenshots as if it ran smoother, thought to give it a try despite a few or so negative reviews, but this game still feels like (very) early access and not ready to launch today. Controls and UI are really clunky/dysfunctional.
Thought I could play single-player, and while you technically can, I could already tell within 30 minutes of playing that most items are too expensive/not easily obtainable by yourself - so you won't be able to really build big like you'd want to with paths, fencing, farms, etc....

Rust + Animal Crossing... You drop all your loot on pvp servers, and they have hardcore servers where you cannot lock up your stuff
I drowned in a river .1% of people have this achievement

This game is honestly pretty fun, But the Community and Developers are some of the worst i have ever seen in my life. Ive seen alot of communities and talked to alot of devs but this game has exceeded the level of BAD so bad theres never any help, theres infinite amounts of bugs that trap u inside an area forever and theres no proper updates that fix the game, the updates u get is that the vintercoins in the shop dissapear! i could not enjoy this game at all with the lack of help and amount of bugs that screwed me over

refunded; you cannot keep your private island after leaving, there are server wipes, hosting a private server without figuring out port configurations is not possible. otherwise game seems really nice. will get back to it if they improve online co op and make you keep your island

I like Rust.
I like Animal Crossing.
This misses the mark on both.
The concept is really exciting but the energy system is hellish. Energy depletes so fast and it takes so long to replenish. Im not interested in a game where 60+% of the time spent playing is sitting by a fire or in your house to try to replenish energy. I get that you want to make food a viable thing but having health and stamina wrapped up in one system that depletes just from moving and, you know, EXPLORING the thing you advertise as an open world sand box made this a pretty miserable new player experience. You better hope your not one of the poor souls who has to build in the snow because the maps are so crowded, or who accidentally falls into the water while fishing...bam! Energy gone twice as fast and your bag is left there to be looted by anyone, even on PvE servers.
Also, there is no sprinting so you move slow as molasses while your energy just ticks away. I don't mind games with little in the way of tutorials but this was nothing and I was so worried about conserving energy, I was reluctant to go out to explore and figure things out on my own; even swinging the ax depletes energy.
I hope they improve this system. I'm willing to update this review if they do. There is a cool concept here but poor execution. If things are this rough this early, I hate to think of what a slog late game must be.

rust with an animal crossing veneer
its cute, its fine
but theres nothing to do if you are on a private server
and theres no way to establish a foothold as a new player on a public one
idk, i completed most everything there was to do in 6-7 hours and it just wasnt *that* fun
sorry but i just cant recommend
ps: numbers kinda speak for themselves, while 95% of players have joined a world, only 60% even got as far as placing their first tent/home, and only 40% crafted even a single item (as of 25 Feb 25)

this game was FUN until it just wasnt . what cause it ? it was the many different ways that people were cheating . during offline raids it was thought that people would simply stay online all night putting in work taking over bases but that was wrong . people someway somehow were having offline bots running for them raiding and destroying bases for pettiness . offline bots that looked like real players even though they were NOT real people . To make things worse we had developers going into your house as a punishment ? to take your hard earned loot like guns , turrets anything that was used in defense or PVP and it seemed that those things were NOT looked into . Was Fun way to kill the games for real legit players DEVS.

The beginning area where everyone is just figuring out how to play can easily be spawn camped by people with upgraded gear/weapons.

It's alright
If you're thinking about getting this because it looks like animal crossing, it isn't really animal crossing
it's more like Rust
I don't like Rust
8/10 Rust stinky
