Critter cove is absolutely incredible. For reference this is essentially Furry My time at sand rock. The apocalypse has happened and you've been sent to this island in disrepair and it's up to you to help the mayor of this island. You'll start of with one of the most customisable characters I've ever seen in a game it's no Baldurs Gate 3 but the amount you can work with is incredible you're spoilt for choice. Once arriving you meet the mayor who helps you get a deed and it's up to you to select where you want to live. And from here it's your job to get to work, you'll meet a robot who will help you get the shop running and you My time fans will feel right at home. Now where this game separates itself is definitely in the exploration because for Stardew it was caves but here you'll be making a boat and using it to explore dozens of islands and with the new update theirs even more to see and do. At each stop you can dive under and find rare resources, engines and even parts to upgrade your shop and tools You'll also meet new locals who you'll find at sea on the islands and over time you'll be able to build a relationship with them, you have a house to customise, a board to help others with using the shop, a museum where you can display artefacts, plenty to clean and more. Then as you progress you'll start opening businesses and making passive income. If you're waiting for evershine like me and want something to sink a ton of time into with an insane Character creation then theirs no better game and for £20 it's literally a steal. Ps if you're not into the furry aesthetic you can make a human character.

I am having a lot of fun with this one. It is a very relaxed, cute game with imaginative characters. There is no pressure and yet, enough to do and much to explore. The character creation alone is worth it, there are so many possibilities and it is very inclusive too. Of course, it is still early access, so a few inconveniences remain. No multiplayer (yet, hopefully) and some things could be explained a little better. But nothing major, all the things that make it a great game are there and they work well. An easy recommendation, forsooth.

Mellow, slice-of-life in tropical island settings. Crafting not arduous. Farming can be frustrating with some things that are not "perennials" (i.e., require planting new seeds after each harvest). Most frustrating farming thing is that, after harvesting a non-perennial, it too easily lets you accidentally replant a random seed you happen to be carrying (not the one you intended). And, if that seed *is* a perennial then you can never remove it from that planter. Be careful what seeds you are carrying. (E.g., seeds you might have just harvested as a side effect from a prior planter.) Second most frustrating farming thing is that once a perennial is growing in a planter you can never remove it, which means you can never move or destroy the planter! Be careful where you place planters!!!

??? i started yesterday. I have 10 hours. This is dangerously addicting, like it got all the stuff i like from animal crossing + no real life time constrain + extremely cool exploration. I'm hooked ! Just hm... i may have spent more time than expected on the character creator, it got so many fun options that it was genuinly hard to choose.

I paid the full $25 USD for the game and I really enjoy it. I think this game is worth the money, and with some minor bug fixing and a little time to polish things off, could easily be worth $40 USD. Gameplay: I love the gameplay, it gives me a some what animal crossing vibes with a nice Immersive 3D Atmosphere. The Characters are well animated, the content is entertaining, and the game is great if you are looking for a fun game to play solo. Graphics: Depending on your preferece, the graphics and system requirements can vary. If you cannot do higher graphics and your device is a potato, then you can put on fairly budget graphics. If you have the higher-end device and want to spice things up, then you can Crank up your graphics and enjoy Beautiful Toon-Style Graphics with Terrific Textures, Supreme shadows, and an amazing ocean. Character Customization: The character design menu is extensive. You can make almost any type of character imaginable. from your average Human, to a robot or even one of the game's "Critters," there are 100's of options to choose from. not satisfied being one species? Make your character a hybrid with multiple limbs being from another species. World Customization: Your world is fairly customizable. from the NPC's who live at your town to the homes you or they live at. All of it can be customized. NPC's: In Critter cove, Aside from the few core NPC's, All NPC's Vary in appearance, Species, and personality. Furthermore, All Townsfolk NPC's will have likes and dislikes. If you give them something they Like Ex: a favorite food, clothing Style, ect. They will not only like you more, but also reward you greater. Jobs: Besides the core workforce, you'll have to hand pick a resident from your town for each job. Some residents like certain jobs, some are netural towards certain jobs, and some are Unpleased by certain jobs. Dialogue upon hire as well as Tourist feedback can hint toward these preferences. Content: The game is super addicting and has a great replay-ability factor. At the time I wrote this, I had 21 hours played and I still haven't even explored half of the Islands the Game has to offer. With all the Varying NPC's and games factors, this game is easily a great way to wind down, relax, and enjoy a little time to yourself. My overall Experience Rating: 9/10. Nothing in life is perfect, but this game is pretty damn close.

There's a lot of QOL that feels like it should be there. It's buggy or just clunky in many ways. For example, cooking is really awkward, there's no sort on inventory, and apparently you can only have two storage chests. I just don't understand how these games are made without simple inventory management features. I might check back in on this one but I'm concerned with the reports from reviewers who have more time in the game that it gets boring and is just a bunch of fetch quests.

I try to stay away from EA games because so many of them are simply a wreck. This one is not; definitely a rare gem in the EA stage. It's very well put together (no crashes, very few glitches) and even at this stage, it's very enjoyable. It has a Dinkum vibe, but the graphics and art style are different and really well done. Game play is fun and the world--both islands and underwater--to explore is already a huge piece of the game . Town progression is a little slow, but that actually works well for the game and maybe that's even by design. It gives you time to really build up and decorate your town as you slowly grow it. As far as any glitches, they're minor graphical, nothing major. Some minor clipping here and there and feet standing a bit below the actual ground plane in places. Overall, though, definitely a winner in the genre. I'll be putting a lot of time into this one.

beautiful character creation and very nice setting! my nitpicks were all on the roadmap and the gameplay loop is a blend between casual and a bit insane in a good way . looking forward to its future!
