You will need to setup controls or use the touchscreen, but the game is fully functional.
Review note: Played with the free R18 patch and greatly regret it because those scenes were bad in almost every applicable metric.
Even if this game was free and I didn't install the patch, it would still be a terrible VN that I wouldn't recommend.
Other than following the same core characters on the original goal of finding Koko, the events of the previous game mean nothing in this game.
It starts with basically asking what ending you got in the previous one, but that means nothing because by the end of this game Yaya has to either
fall for a new character or everyone gets tortured in the bad ending
.
The characters and story were already pretty shallow, but then not even acknowledging the relationship(s) of the previous game and cramming completely unprompted and lame H scenes randomly, just to reach the target demographic, really made this whole experience infuriating.
THEY COULDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO GIVE THE ACHIEVEMENTS ACCURATE DESCRIPTIONS! That's how little they cared. Yaya doesn't have magic. It was Aiyana's magic. Just like they messed up one of the profile background names for the first game.
