nice game, but dying at one hit is not that good.

A chad enters a probation and kills evil while constantly lied to. No chapter selection and sometimes ghosts spawning inside you make the game a bit bad, but still cool. It's Faith but on a low budget. A quick, pretty good game.

The ghosts in this game sneak up behind you and moan into your ear...sexually. I'm both scared and turned on simultaneously

got lost most of the game, the maps are so samey that it's hard to really navigate. the early ones are just open as well, hardly anything guiding the player. the radio mechanic to help you find stuff has a quite small aoe a lot of the time, because there's multiple objects and even now they overlap, but still it's hard to find things and this does not help that much. also enemies are kinda quiet and placed in ways to cheap kill you (didn't get me, I played that black and white game, I know what's up) and the radio noise overpowers enemy noise quite a bit. I don't even know what the objectives were in the final level, just random rocks? the story aint as good as other games the dev made. without wandering around, if you somehow manage to just read everything and find everything right away and not die (monsters are 1 hit kills) you could beat this in like 30 minutes. if you hate lore, this game's gonna be very fast for you.

EVIL was an ok horror game I guess just keep in mind that it is a walking sim where you have to wander around using the radio you get to find evil objects to use your cross on just to progress. Story wise it was alright though a lot of it is told through notes you find while wandering around and when it comes to enemies they can kill you in one hit so if that happens you go all the way back to the beginning and have to do everything all over again. Enemy design was pretty good but lacks variety since their is a ghost, hooded demon, and a head with spider legs and that's about it. The demons animations are basically simplistic nothing going on there besides the standard stuff and the same can be said for everything else in the game
Overall it was ok but is simplistic in its design

Amongst all the Lovecraft-inspired games I have played so far, this is probably the creepiest, if not even the scariest. It is difficult to describe why precisely, but there is this constant heavy feeling of dread and peril that keeps you literally imprisoned inside a cage of anxiety. Maybe it's the visual style, maybe it's the sound design, or, more probably, it's the fear of the unknown that fuels this feeling, as the genius of Lovecraft himself taught us a long time ago. All I know is that SpoocleMacBoogle did it again! With this brand new short horror experience, he managed once again to make me feel an unbearable, but at the same time wonderful uneasiness through his masterful usage of visuals, sounds, and above all narration. The story is maybe what I liked the most about this game, but I absolutely cannot tell you why, it would be a huge spoiler. The plot itself is not exceptional maybe, but the direction of the narration is phenomenal as always, it answers a lot of questions but at the same time opens new ones, leaving the answers to your own interpretation. This is exactly what extends a videogame beyond its own code, right into the brain of the player. Another little masterpiece from this talented creator, recommended to all lovers of true horror!
Can't wait to see what you will come up with next, Nick ;)
Cheers guys!
