The idea behind this game is super cool, but it's very poorly implemented. The AI is...not smart, the weapon animations, recoil, and accuracy are nonsense, and there's no real story or plot to the game. If this game were cooperative a lot of this would be forgivable but it's not so it isn't. I got this for $7.50 and I honestly don't feel like that's a fair price for this game in the state it's in now.

Ever since the "real" engine upgrades to this game. enemies are embedded in structures and can't be seen: firing and killing my character. Invisible except for the red firing indicator. This is a horrible game . This game is ruined by so called upgrades. Same deal with Normandy game slowed to a crawl.

aimbots, shot through walls, no care put into the game, runs like garbage, all achievements are the same picture, very little effort all round. shame, it could be a good simple rogue lite ww2

The AI is more A than I. You can stand right behind someone and shoot and they will not realise you are there, if they do notice you just get out of their line of sight because they have the object permanence of a chicken.

Game is not optimized whatsoever. This wouldn't be a problem, if there wasn't ZERO actual system requirements listed.
For a game that doesn't look too demanding, even on low the game decides to lag and crashes often. Not sure how they got away with putting literally no requirements for the game, but I guess it should have been a sign.

the gameplay is fun, but everything runs consistently at 30 fps, the ai is about as smart as a pigeon shitting on a car battery and the fact that you spend half your time walking everywhere makes it boring as hell. The game has potential but right now it's just not worth the 8 bucks

Yeah, as the title states, I am unsure why so many people recommend this title. The game is incredibly easy - and according to some, was incredibly hard before. Nazis will see you from a hundred miles away, sure, but they also do not maintain any realistic standard of behaviour. Some will go to where you are, which is an easy kill because you can hide behind any given wall and one-shot them with your knife, and others will simply resume patrolling. Your first "drop" starts you with an M1911 but given that I dropped right on the outskirts of Foy, I had an MP-44 within seconds. The enemies do very little damage, and they drop health kits like crazy. With just a little bit of patience, and I mean very little, I was easily walking around them and mopping up dudes with potshots from a distance.
The objectives are rather obvious, but this is mostly due to the incredibly flat landscape. I encountered a V2 facility and put some dynamite on it, but to my surprise, it didn't blow up. The game seems to be quite arbitrary about what you can and cannot blow up. Field guns, 88s, and tanks? Sure. Trucks, ammo depots, or V2 missiles? Nope.
There's also a significant game-breaking bug insofar as the enemy will neither spot nor shoot you if you are in a car. I found this out after literally accidentally driving into a patrol. They only reacted when I got out, and did not respond even after I mowed down two of their buddies. Oh, and the lean keys do not work.
I tried this on the dev preview branch. And yeah, there is just...nothing here. There is some sort of level progression, but given that the enemies exhibit no intelligence what so ever, there is no reason to not just use an MP-40 or whatever.
It's a neat tech demo, though, I suppose. But far from a finished game. Or even a game, strictly speaking.

'Broadsword calling Danny Boy...'
Excellent sandbox, never the same game twice, and the freedom to play as you wish.
The moody winter weather puts me in a 'Where Eagles Dare' state of mind.

The game is similar to it's predecessor United Assault - Normandy '44, but this time the
theatre of war is the battle of the bulge.
It's a small sandbox open world. You always get random tasks when starting a game, like
liberating a town or blowing up a tank for example. The towns are all surrounded by woods.
Pair that with a snow storm and lots of enemies and it can be an intense firefight. (The AI needs improvement)
You can traverse the map either by foot or by stealing a car from towns or a POW-Camp.
(I hope for different cars, or even a half track, so far its just the same car model you can steal)
United Assault - Battle of the Bulge has already more weapons than it's predecessor and more will be added according to the dev during the EA-phase. You unlock weapons by reaching certain ranks.
Number in the brackets is the level you unlock the weapon
(Knife [0], Stielhandgranate [0], M1911 [0], Grease Gun [2], Bren [4],
Welrod [6], M1 Carbine [8], STG 44 [10], Thompson [12], Lee Enfield [14], DeLisle [16],
MP40 [18], Springfield [20], Lewis Gun [22], M1897 [24], BAR [26], KAR 98 [28], Sten [30],
M1 Garand [32], Bazooka [34], Lee Enfield [36]
Yes, the game needs improvements which is why it's in early access, but it's a promising foundation.
Also something weird / funny that happened during playing.

This feels like expansion pack of United Assault 1944 for me.
Strongly recommended for single-player based players or WWII fans.
Reasonably priced and much better than stressful hack-flooding multiplayer based FPS titles.
Reminds me good old days' CoDUO or MoHAA. You'll like the accurate weapon modelings and decent snowy winter map.
Yet little bit buggy as it is now in early-access stage, but still worth playing it. ;)
Strongly recommended. 9/10
